Wheel hop? under what conditions? could you increase the spring tension or shock to prevent the tire frome leaving the road?

naz, have you done anything to your suspension? I put springs and they keep the front end from lifting up when you launch....and they also reduce nose dive...but im sure you've alreayd got springs on there.

i have h&r springs and i have almost no wheel hop the only time ive ever had wheel hop was when i shifted into second on a left turn and just totally lit up the left tire, but in a straight line its never happened

The Focus Tuning front lower stress bar is to reduce wheel hop, i will know friday when i finally install mine and can test it.

I've got Eibach springs, Koni shocks, and poly bushings and I still get wheel hop.

I have a full poly motormount too (the one under the tranny), not just an insert.

I think the wheel hop might be from the subframe flexing. A brace would work, but I would need to look at the Focus Tuning one before I would consider buying it. I'm not a fan of their strut bar.

focustuning has a lower tie bar, would that help? Darren said he'd give me 1 for free, from a long ago favor.

Hmm, its just so violent, and i feel like over time its gonna break something you know? ?

P-51 do you have the fornt A-arm bushings in?

Maby it is because you have alot more power with the Turbo.

I also have 205/55 ZR15 tires and my wheels weigh around 14 lbs. I think the weight, traction and diameter of the wheel and tire combo is somthing to take into consideration too.

I have a Quaife, ES motor mounts and H&R Coilovers (360-450lb/in front).

I get wheel hop under certain condition if I am not careful. Of course with my right foot down I have 300+lb/ft of torque trying to make thier way to the pavement so that might have something to do with it.

The problem lies with roads/surfaces that are not flat/cracked/etc...
Unfortunately in my case there is really not much more I can do about it other then being real progressive with the throttle in 1st and second.
I think moving weight out of the front (battery relocation and possibly A/C removal) should help a bit as well.

Naz, in your case the motor mounts should take care of your wheelhop. In naturally aspirated form with the above I had 0 wheelhop no matter what I did pre turbo even on bumpy surfaces.
