if you haven't got the obx brace yet, don't get it. i've seen it on one car so far with a volant intake and they actually had to cut into one of the braces on the inside of the hood to get that bar to fit. You don't have to take my word for it cause that is the only one i've seen with the obx bar.

Of course, Money allowing, I'd love to do much more, but the current car is .....
Liquid Grey '01 S2
k&n FIPK intake
FocusSport Flex-pipe
Bosal exhaust
AF/X Crank UDP
15% tint, side-visors, stickers

I Auto-X as a member of the EastTNRegional SCCA.
No strip-racing yet. We have some local 1/8 mi. tracks, but I haven't had the schedule/cash to go play except for the Auto-X Sundays.
Randy, I hope that you took note of my posts defending the quality of the FS Stress-Bar, despite my feelings about its performance-enhancement value.

One of the only examples, decently sound, of back to back testing of the FocusSport front strut bar in the Solo II environment free from hyperbole and full of logic.

They are STAYING on my car, and Randy will tell you that I am as stubborn a skeptic as they come.

I asked because I was thinking that perhaps if you were involved with auto-x for example, that you may want to try the bar out. I respect your opinions about the bar, but I do think that if you are going to have such a strong opinion that our bar is unnecessary, you should try it first. What do you think?

I have no money, but as you know, I have strong opinions,(Though NOT closed-minded...

PM or e-mail me, and we'll talk.

michaelxi, maybe someone around you has a FS strutbar and would let you test it out one day at an autocross. then you could form your opinion from that and wouldn't have to spend any money on something that ya think ya don't need.

Are you kidding??
I'm in Knoxville!!! You've been here....!!!
Yeah, there are a few Focaljetters around, some of which I've "pimped", but they don't have much done to their cars, and none of them have a strut-bar anyway. My Focus contacts are primarily On-Line...

If I try it, and DO notice a difference, I'd tell the entire 'Jet about it, but locally, there are only a few who aren't "It's JUST a Car" people.
At the Autocrosses however, I'm almost able to sell a few people on actually buying Foci...

I am going to chime in here and give a real life case where the FS stress bar works. I live in italy and we have some awesome curves here. There is 1 stretch or road called the Amalfi coast. Picture an Itlaian version of the pacific coast highway. It has it all long straight stretches and alot of very sharp curves. Before i got the Fs front and rear stress bars i coud only take this one curve at about 55 mph before i could feel the wheels starting to break. After i can take the curve at about 65-68 mph before the wheels start to break. This is what told me i got what i paid for.

I AM about function before style, but I DO like things to match...

In all seriousness, I appreciate your offer Randy, and look forward to your reply.
