Very very interested. I'll be at the next one at gulf greyhound park for sure. I missed the last few due to the birth of my duaghter which is a great reason to miss them. I went and watched one about 3 months ago. I might be driving the focus at the next one, of course the rally car might be done before then and I have to get used to it right?
I'm going to try and make all the events for the rest of the year. The focus should be there but might not be driven in the events depending on the status of the other project cars that might not be as fast, but are more interesting. I'll meet you at the next one.

how is it being a daddy? my fiance(we get married in september)and i don't quite know if we want to have kids yet. still open to the idea though. that would be great if you could come to the next event. i just want to get other foci into the field so i have some competetive cars to race against. most of the people at the dog track race in corvettes, S2000, boxters, miatas, or WRXs.

Being a dad is great. I quit my job and I'm a full time stay at home dad so I spend maximum time with my baby girl. It can be trying when she's mad but can't communicate what the problem is. It's fun watching her change and I can't wait until she can interact more. If it's the right time in your life kids are the best, if it's the wrong time then you'll probably never apprecaite how cool it is.
I will probably be in my focus at the next event. I'm going to try to get the engine in the rally car tonight but I don't think I'll have it sorted for a few months. My other project, the turbo K-car is technically ready, I just need to get it inspected and get a new windshield, I probably won't run that for 2 months or so, I still need to drive it and sort it out. Don't worry man, I will be there representing those of us that can't afford to buy $25K to $75K cars. Driving cheap cars is fun. Last time I did see a fairly beat looking fox body mustang stomp most of the field including a new M3 and a Viper GTS though. Cheap and sorted can be better than expensive and poorly driven. As long as it's fun, who cares.

There was a really active rally cross group in houston for the last few years. I just got in on the tail end of it. There have been some site problems this year and there hasn't been any races yet. There are a few up in Dallas every year and there is a club rally up there. I've heard that rally is returning to Paris Texas too, I'll have to get out my map to figure out exactly where that is. There seems to be a dedicated group of about 20 people who are really into it including one liscensed ProRally driver with a very very mean eclipse.
