Im gonna edit my post, since half of u people in here call ****ty advise good advise. When some one gives me some thing for free only for it to break in my hands it makes me kinda wonder. I live in an area where u gotta watch out for shaddy vendors aka NYC. I dont need half of u people telling me im over reacting. I met an other jetter this weekend who seconds my opinion and had the same thing happen to him and i have a list of jetters who feel the same way i do. Yo my car reaks of fumes and exaust fumes usually equal carbon monoxide so dont tell me im overreacting! I understand u want your head up there asses. But im only telling u how it is. If u dont like my post then go suck a fat one. No i havent explained my self to the vendor cause i know an other member did. And that didnt work so dont waste your time trying to act like i dont know what im talking about.

People like you amaze me.
I'm sure if Bobby or Ray had the slightest idea that the gaskets they where giving out could pose a problem there is no way that they would.
Before you go bashing a shop I think maybe you should talk to them first.

You win the drama queen award for that part.

I only got great experience with McNews. Very Helpful, great customer service, and if there is an issue I never heared of that they don;t try to fix it. I second what Blink and Sands said. If I were you I woudl rather contact them before calling them out like they are idiots. Which they are not. IF you don;t get anywhere after calling them, than there are other steps to take, such as contacting the FJ staff. But this right here is a low and crappy post.

Bobby & Ray....You BadBad People....trying to illiminate and poison the Focus Community (which is a big part of McNews existence) by 'giving away' bad gaskets. (HAHAHAHAHA that is the funniest thing I have ever heared. McNews - Don;t worry about people like that that make some sort of accusations. We know how you guys really are.)

When stuck in traffic (which happens a lot in NY) or when in my car at idle i was getting dizzy and head aches. You people tell me im overreacting huh? Well if my car was leaking exaust from flange between the header and cat this can totally be possible. Check out the symptons for CO poisoning. There is no reason for you people to be all rude. You should care more about bad business practices and my health then trying to knock my accusations then keeping your noses all up the vendors backside.

CO Poisoning Symptoms
Know the symptoms of CO poisoning. At moderate levels, you or your family can get severe headaches, become dizzy, mentally confused, nauseated, or faint.

YO - I really feel sorry for you. But you have to understand that without you trying to get in touch with the vendor to solve the problem, that there is no reason to call them out like they are the biggest morons. You run the risk of making a moron out of yourself by just going inot a forum and calling out one of the sponsors like this. Too bad you deleted your original post, so people can;t read anymore what you wrote in the first place. I'm just telling you that the way you are engaging the problem will get you nowhere. You should know that if there are problems with vondors or with the site, you can alwasy contact WRCfan or any other staff member and there will be done what they can.

But honestly, you do not have a point at all and the rights to judge the way mcnews does their business. First off, it was free. 2nd, is it McNews fault that the gasket is defect, or may have gone bad? 3rd, without you personally contacting McNews, explain the problem to them they can;t help you. It's that easy. An I'm personally not a big friend of calling sponsors out for something that they were not even given the chance to fix, since you decided not to call them. So what if your buddy called an got nowhere??? You didn't call yet - so you can;t bitch.

It has nothign to do with having 'our' heads up the vendors asses. It has somethign to do with the way you engaged the problem and posted it.

if you're so worried about CO poisoning and you know what's causing it why don't you replace the piece with a stock unit until you can get a functional one. i just can't understand someone coming on here and bashing a vendor and whining about having symptoms of something they could easily resolve. especially when they don't even contact the vendor themselves. you're getting all defensive that people are flaming you, but i mean this is what we hear "i got a faulty product, i haven't reported it to the vendor, but they're a horrible vendor for selling it to me. oh and i won't fix it either, i think i'll just bitch and moan." not to mention the fact that THE VENDOR DOES NOT BUILD THE PRODUCTS THEY JUST SELL THEM. maybe if you give them a call you'll have some credit, but until then you'll get no sympathy.

To clearify what happened. I spent over 300 easy and i wish shipped free courtesy gaskets. The cat its self is fine. In fact my dyno numbers proove the cat is fine. the problem was the cheap gaskets shipped with the cat. the problem was fixed today and the problem was resolved. I get annoyed when i hear about my similar problem from some one who experienced it months before.

That still doesn justify the trash talk though. Like Bmore said....if you woudl at least contacted McNews about this, and than didn't get anywhere there might be some sympathy from some people. Just cuz your bro didn;t get anywhere doesn't mean you won't...

I have TONS of gasket problems, but its MY fault...no one else's

What was the problem with the gasket and who else had a problem with the same setup. If you have a problem with something let us know. The gaskets that we have sent out were from Random made for there cat pipes.

You know, I recognized your screen name from other posts in the MA forum and around and you didn't seem like a blithering idiot in any of them. But I guess you showed us with those 3 sentences. If you want problems with sponsors do a search on ZED. Your issue will seem minor. I personally am having a horrible experience with them but atleast I have called!

Hopefully you'll call McNews and this will be straightened out on there end. Good luck on your "Stand Up to The Man" crusade and tell the people how it really is!

So at this point have you even contacted McNews before you posted this? How are they supposed to know the gasket is prone (or atleast it occured in your instance) to failure in this particular scenario if people don't contact them directly? That gasket wasn't provided by Random Tech, so maybe it was tested and found perfect for use with stock manifold to random tech but not for your application.

Give them a call rather than make yourself look like an ass saying "I could have died from carbon monoxide" and its thier fault. I'd be willing to bet they would have resolved your issue.

Your going to get tons of replies from people who have actually purchased items from McNews stating how excellent they are. I have only visited thier shop and spoken with them, never purchased any items.
