it finallly happened at 52000 miles. My MTX75 grinded to a sad and sorry heap. i was driving and tried to make a small left turn and it felt like the motor and trans wanted to jump out of the car. that was the begining, then taking my girlfriend home going about 65 making a small bend in the road my wheels lock up, then coming home, with the trans and motor mounts screaming for help I cant make up a 11 degree grade. It grinds like some kid just stole a car with no syncronizers and grinded in first through fith and i was only barely coasting up this hill. At 12:30 in the morning on a bitter cold January night (very cold winter in NY this year about -15 degrees with a wind chill that night)i pushed my car about 35 yards up a hill.

ok sounds good. 2 days later
"Your transaxle had a catastrophic failure due to abusive driving" $4000 they told me
They then told me i "have to" buy a clutch and Flywheel they are both fried and warped. BS i told them. after i dug deep and borrowed some money three weeks later without a loaner car i give the crooks $478 dollars for the clutch and flywheel
Thats not the end
a week and a half later CE light comes on
i'm without a car again for two weeks
just to replace an upshift light and fuel cap light
I've been through 3 Insturment clusters already
I'm afraid to drive or modify the car anymore
I have a Focussport cool air intake and a custom exhaust with stock piping and a Mustang Flow master muffler
I've heard of contour owners having the same problems with their transmissions and other focus owners too
Is the trans Junk? is the Car Junk?
I currently have 58565 on the clock what should i expect next?
