I started my SVTF today and the car wouldn't even turn over i Just made a poping sound and it sounded like the bendex wasn't catching. after a couple time atempting to start it the car finally turned over on the 3rd try(but it took some convincing) dunno if you guys went over this topic already cause i'm pretty new to this forum but i was just wondering if any of you guys went through the same thing. Also whats the whole RLA flash thing what is RLA? I'm guessing its your computer but help a brother out.

Dunno if this will help but I think your on to something. It does sound to me like you have a flakey starter drive, if you hear it spin but no engagement then that's most likely the culprit. If yoy have a clicking but nothing happens then you may have a bad solenoid. As far and the RLA flashing thing goes, I can't help you there.

I think I read one or two people have had a starting issue, but it hasn't been something common. So I would just bring it to the dealer for that. And at the same time if you want, have them flash the computer with the new rla6. It is a new computer program for the car. SVT changed some things around to solve some issues just about everyone was having.
most common issues are the high revs at startup and a stumble or almost miss type feeling between 2-3k rpm. Most everyone is pleased, but a handful of people aren't. Do a search for it and it may be on this 1st page of the forum even. But there are like 9 pages to read through about it. You will learn everything then.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I had this exact problem. Turns out my starter failed. Basically here were my symptoms.
Cold starts (after the car has set for a good 8 hours +), the car wouldn't turn over... It would sound like the ignition is telling it go to go but the car just wouldn't turn over.
However once I started it, the car was fine most of the day as long as I didn't have this long period of sitting time. Finally one day, my car would not turn over at all. I sat there for 30 minutes and it didn't turn over. So I jump started it, and took it to Ford. Turns out the started failed.

Thanks Belacyrf i'm goin to take it in yo the doctors office thursday sucks cause i gotta work like 30 miles away from my house and i did in the tranny on my mustang so i hope the starter doesn't go all to hell cause i would hate to have to push start it when i ain't even had the car for 3 months yet. not that its a bad thing but more an emotional thing, i just don't want to break into lemon law syndrome.
