Not bad... we are getting along nicely.

. Still have a hesitant spedo prb to fix... but I have fixed the headlight alignment, installed my underbody neons, started ripping out the interior for dynamatting, bought rims & fogs for her... and I'm planning for an SR20DET swap over next winter.

Man, I want the RS over here so bad. The 170hp SVT Focus just doesn't rock my world, especially when the Neon SRT-4 will be much faster. But turbocharged 200hp in the Focus RS would cause me to sell my S2 ZX3.... Come on SVT, you can do it....

SR20DET eh? take the 98 black top. you can get 250 BHP from that NISSAN engine. go to www.srswap.com to get it. oh do you know that that engine will not work in our cars? it's a NISSAN motor. meant for the silvia, used to be a truck motor.

besides even if you did swap, you do know that the wiring, motor mounds, electronics, computer, piping and just about everything would have to be re-done right?. good as long as you know.

here V. just scroll down. you can get those bumpers and most those peices from BAT.

GTI sprint, we ain't gettin one ove those here. sides' don't you think it would feel better to mod up your own car stead' o' gettin it pre-made. i know i would feel so much more accomplished.

Motor comes with the FWD tranny (the S13 model), and the computer.

Motor mounts, custom driveshaft, exhaust hookup... etc. will all have to be fabed/adapted.

Seems like some work, but its defiantly not out of the question. "This will decimate all..."

I have all late-fall/winter/early spring to get it installed

. Converting to RWD may be an option, but I would like to keep it FWD. I have been talking to a couple custom shops here that have worked with the SR20DET motors. 1 has put it into a Sentra FWD. He has helped quite a bit.

We'll see how it goes. I may have to take it there for some of the fab work.

Although it's not a true Euro Focus (no triangular side markers) it does indeed have the RS package front and rear. There's a difference between the RS package and the Focus RS.

The RS package does not include the Sparcos of the Focus RS.

no, all nissan motors have been swapped into all conivable nissan cars, RB26DETT, SR20DET, SR20DE, SR20VE, SR20VET, have ben all put into differen NISSAN cars. that's a different company. whatever tho, that's what i planned to do to my up and coming S15 full conversion. i'd like to see it. then sometme during a G2G we can see it.

which do you plan to get? Black top? Red top? Blue top? Black top is a from a S15 in japan. not made here NEmore. goto www.srswap.com they have things thier. and the SR20DET is NOT smog legal, just so you know, that will be more work to try and figure out.

Ha, smog legal. I live in NY so its not too big of a deal. Plus I know a couple places to get inspected at.

. I own a Nissan stanza which i was going to swap this motor into before I got my focus. (same motor as the 240sx but FWD).

The S13 is a redtop. Its the only native FWD SR20DET I know of... I would love to get a black top, but that would require a RWD Conversion. Still planning, but a RWD conversion might actually be LESS work than doing this FWD conversion. Plus it would yeild more power as you can use the normal SR20 hopup parts.

Anyone know if the enging cradle kit for the V8 conversion is out yet? That might be a good way to build a SR20 RWD conversion. Get the engine all set in the cradle, and just bolt it in to the car

OMG! Do you read a word I type? Sorry for getting agrivated, but where did I say anywhere it wasnt a Nissan motor, and that I was going to hook the motor up to a V8 transmission? I just simply stated that the V8 cradle that they created for the V8 focus conversion would be a good platform to work from for a SR20 RWD conversion because you can mount the motor outside in the cradle and just bolt it in.
