The Problem with the smoke, is the wrap by the heater tubes you shortened. That will go away after about 3 times you drive you car. Had the same problem. The reason that your boost gauge is reading vac. all the time is the line is pinched somewhere. Trace where it is ran and find out where. I had the same problem with that to

. The boost gauge is on high when it is pointed to the pasinger side when you are in front on the car. I hope this will help you. Hey did you get the SFMS yet!?

Oh really? Thought it was the coolant. That is a LOOOT of smoke, and my AC smells like monkey butt. I mean I didn't feel like anything was wrong, but I was freaking out when I pop the hood and can barely see the engine bay. Perhaps mine was a combo of both.

The line isn't pinched. If you pinch it it reads zero vacuum (as you would expect). Its normal for cars to read a vacuum when at idle, at cruise, or when the engine is not under load (so revving in neutral). But it builds boost when you drive and the RPMs are changing. But while my car was up on jackstands it was confusing.

Although this is a personal shout out, its good as others that do installs can read this so they don't have a heart attack like me and think their turbo is being starved oil or lines are burning.

Another tip is to DEFINITELY reset the ECU and let it idle for a little while. My management was kinda freaking out after the install, so I reset the ECU and it was fine.

Turbos ROCK!

That would be great! I'd love for some fellow lonestar members to be able to feel it!

I wish I had gotten a chance, but I must say it was that much more of a surprise and the educated-gamble paid off big time! I've been finding excuses to drive almost all day heheh! Still keeping it below 5K rpm though until everything is finished. No longer are highways the embarrassment of the Focus platform (where its weakness really showed before). Sorry if I seem a little euphoric... I'm sure I'll get a little more critical and be able to point out whatever vibrations or side effects are noticeable once I get over this gift of acceleration. I can only imagine 10PSI being like the hand of God pushing on the back of the hatch.
