can the focus use a dry kit??? i was told by nos that it wasn't possible since it didn't have a fuel return line, but i think someone mentioned running one some time back.

FocNOS ran a 30 shot DRY for a long time. He then went to a WET NX kit and is running a 70-75 shot. It is possible to run a wet system even though the focus doesn't have a return fuel system.

so a fuel return line isn't necessary for the dry kit???

You need to raise the fuel pressure for the dry kit. You can't just add nitrous to the motor without extra fuel. There might be some other way to do this but I think the only way is to run a return line and an additional fuel pressure regulator. Someone has done this(can't remember who). The N/X kit does seem like the simplest way to go. Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong.

The stock fuel pump is variable... it will compensate and raise the fuel pressure automatically.

The problem with dry Vs. wet is that it is more difficult for the computer to control the amount of fuel needed for the nos.

The N/X kit taps into the fuel line and meters out the correct amount of fuel/nos mixture.

(I am using the term nos here not in reference to the company NOS, but as a general term for nitrous oxide... for all you dip****s out there that really give a damn!)

Run a wet kit.
The problem with N2O is not enought fuel. If you run a WET 75 shot then you can leave your internals stock. The stock computer can not adjust fuel for a DRY 75 shot, Your motor would go BOOM.

Im running a dry kit for 1 year now and no problems here.

damn sorry to hear about that....
if you go with an alarm get

1.hood protection
2.hatch protection
3.glass breakage sensor (it's a mic that picks up the sound glass makes when it breaks at a certain frequency)
4.make sure it has a starter kill
5.a loud siren

the alarm has door trigger and dome light trigger standard so with these things there is no way in with out tripping a sensor..

i would stay away from shock or radar sensors because they tend to have a lot of false alarms and you get to used to it..
