As for antilag, basicly ou have an antilag valve (air bpass so air enters the plenum ewhile the throttle is shut). The ECU does the work b firing the injectors, and retardngthe igntion 30degrees, so there is combustion with the exhuast valve open, giving the turbo a nice dose of hot air to keep it spinning in off throttle and at idle situations (TPS < 3%)

Video of a mate's Sierra Cosworth doing an Antilag Launch

Listen to the antilag when he passes us, much much better! Awesome!

Let us know what you think

I'll try and get some pics.

The CVH crank is teeny and a lot lighter than the Zetec item.

Theres two advatnatges in the Zetec's favour for torque, massive counterbalancing on the crank hence its weight), and its 88mm stroke....both making the engine far torqueyer than the CVH item (79.5mm stoke)

Hey phil. Here in the states the cvh was replaced by the spi wich is basically a 2 liter cvh with split-runner intake ports leading to the head instead of the standard oval or round intake ports. I was thinking about maybe putting a zetec crank in my spi block and that is why I was asking for pics. Now I realize that your stock cvh crank probably is quite different looking than a 2.0 spi crank. The spi and zetec here have the same stroke, bore and main bearing journal size and spacing. Th zetec crank has wider rod bearing journals and that is why I was thinking of swapping. So I guess pics won't be necessary after all since our cranks are different. I appreciate the quick responses.

Thanks for the link, I've been to jim hearne's site before though.

Do you know anyone that has good pics of the cvh and zetec cranks and main caps? Jim hearne's site mostly has pics of the zetec bottom end but not much illustrating the differences between the two. I guess I'll just e-mail him directly.

Hey! A big welcome from this side of the pond!

As for those videos... There's just something seriously cool about the flames shooting out of the exhaust.

Especially driving away down a really dark street.

I wouldn't make it around the block with a setup like that before the police impounding my car.
