Actually I think they are. Immensly popular and more and more so everyday. Considering the competition, the Focus is just as viable a platform. But I agree that the best cars are still going to be the big ol' RWD platforms like Supras and Camaros. For every straight line quick one of ours there are 10 of dems', and rightfully so.

Just takes a little more effort for our platforms. Tom's gunna run 12s next time right?

Good luck guys.

Ok guys here is a little hint, incase you have never bracket raced before. Most likely, professional drives will rent a stock focus sedan and run it. Its bracket racing, so automatics have every advantage, and the more stock you are, the more consistant you will be. TurboTom knows what I am talkin about

Fun Ford Weekend, in Orlando, FL., we had to compete against Pro 5.0 drives in Rental Focus's. Let me tell you, its a good thing I went out there for fun, and not to win, cause I didn't stand a chance, and I have an automatic!

Focus racing is the only racing I've ever done, and with very little experience I won the Atlanta race. That would make that my second race of the season. It's a bracket race, and anything can happen. Plus the rental cars cannot run consistenly at all. If you can run your dial in and cut a decent light, you can make them have to break out to stay in front of you. Like he said in his second post, give it a try. If you don't go out there and try you'll never know. I think if you ask most racers, you'll find that when they first started racing they got beaten a lot. Th good racers are the ones that didn't give up. We need good turnout at focus racing events if we want to have focus racing events in the future.
