Well like the post I made earlier about the Iceman, It Clearly sounded like the best performance choice, now I know it certainly FEELS like the best performance choice. I picked my Iceman Up this weekend at Modern Performance www.modernperformance.com The installation was a snap; literally it took about 35 minutes. It blew my mind the components Ford used for the stock intake tubing, DEFINATLEY, it was obvious where the improvement needed to be made and ICEMAN did just that and then some. After the install and starting the car, it was amazing to feel the amount of air the new, larger, and much more opened snorkel was sucking in. Not only is the snorkle larger in the opening, but all of the way down the tube as well. The stock snorkle is very small at its "neck". The iceman snorkle, however, is a complete taper from the snorkle opening to the tube. As far as driving improvement: The additional torque is outstanding! There is more performance after 5k than before, and takeoff is becoming more and more addictive. I am very glad I researched intakes and went with the iceman. If you want performance, this, in my opinion, is well worth its money, and is a product of great research and development.

Yes. The filter did come with the Iceman setup. To my knowledge, Modern Performance is the ONLY company including a genuine K&N filter with the kit, a $33 dollar value.

Glad to hear you like it as I want this intake also. One question though, did you have a K&N or similar before the Iceman? The reason I ask is, I bought a K&N and I noticed an improvement right away. I wonder how much of your improvement is related to the low restriction filter vs the intake.

ah, you decided to go with the iceman eh? good choice. you want more power for your car, get a FocusSport Cool-Flo and stick that at the end of the of the Iceman. All i can say is that I believe I can fly!!!

How exactly would you rig that? Did you not use the snorkle. I can't see how it would make more power, but it would be loud if you did not use the stock air box. But I don't understand how you could get both of the systems to work together unless you you ditched half of the iceman and only used the air box to TB tube with the cool flo. Then that would defeat the purpose and engineering of the iceman providing the most ambient air to the TB.

OutaFocus: Actually I had the K&N for about two weeks prior to installing the iceman. I noticed an immeadiate improvement there too but even a greater improvement with the iceman system. It was a very noticeable gain even on top of the K&N.

actually Secret Agent 8, the Iceman tubing is modeled after the stock tubing. At this moment, I'm still testing performance specs for FocusSport for a Cool-Flo on an Auto tranny ZX3. They were able to rig the Cool-Flo to my Iceman intake because the airbox-to-TB tube is angled the same way as the stock. I'll try and get you dyno numbers of both systems ASAIC.

Glad to hear of the improvement over the K&N alone. I had this intake in mind for awhile, but was swayed by the Injen for awhile. I think after hearing of your experience, that I will get the iceman. I like the idea of using the K&N I already have, the use of the stock airbox, and the ability to take advantage of any upcoming pieces such as MAFs and TB's

Just curious, but why do you say that?

Richmedium- the picture may not look too clear, but that is a k&n genuine high flow filter. No stock filters, no regular aftermarket filters- a genuine k&n filter. No other company on the market is including a high flow k&n filter with the Iceman, but we do as we want you to have a complete package ready to install- so we went through the expense of including a high flow k&n filter with the package.

Bossfocus-The system is $199.99 and we have a free shipping offer now. They are available in black, blue and red. Sound level at idle to 4500 rpms is similar to stock and from 4600 and up noise level has increased by about 10%. The noise is a deep tonal noise. If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me!

okay Secret Agent 8...had to read your post twice just to make sure I'm reading you correctly. Currently, I have the complete Iceman system (all the plumbing but no filter). I was using that, the stock airbox, and no drop-in performance replacement. Last Tuesday, Justin asked me to bring my car to FocusSport to test a Cool-Flo and its compatibility with an Automatic Transmission ZX3. All they did was remove the stock airbox and replace it with their system. Long story short, I have two intake systems. I retained the Iceman piping because of its effective stock-looking configuration and its ability to maintain a somewhat cool temperature of air. Combined with the heat shield of the Cool-Flo to replace the stock airbox, I've experienced a significant gain in throttle response, torque, and horsepower. As a suggestion to you, if you'd like to try this combo, feel free to. I believe it's effective. As I mentioned earlier, I will try to get you some dyno numbers from this combo and the stock airbox/Iceman tubing system.

Oh! I see. That makes perfect since! You utilized the Iceman's snorkle to bring the cold air from the front to the interior of the heat sheild of the cool flo, then the cool flo takes it from there, and brings it to the TB via the iceman's tube. Cool idea.

Modernceo, how long is the free shipping offer valid? I won't get paid til a few days before Xmas, so can I wait that long, or should I just charge it?

DGTL Toys: That what I thought you meant. I understand. But that means you are only using the part of the iceman from the TB to the MAFS. Then you connected a cool flo intake to it. But what about the other half of the system? I don't understand why it would be advantageous to use this configuration, the iceman tb to mafs tube and cool flo, over the complete iceman system. You are still using an open element filter under the hood. Also I guess if you had not had the iceman already, it may have been more cost effective to just pick up one of the aluminum intake tubes from that canadian guy. But then again, that damn aluminum gets hot really fast and stays hot. There would not be much heat insulation there. So I could see the reason for wanted to try it with the iceman's plastic tube. It really sounds interesting. I just am not too keen on an open elemnt intake under the focus hood, especially after what I gained with the complete iceman system.

With the Iceman do you keep the resonator on? I would imagine if you took off the resonator and plugged the hole where it was you would be gaining ever so slightly even more, because all of the air being sucked into the engine would be coming through the snorkel, instead of through the snorkel AND through the holes in the bottom of the resonator(where hot air can enter). Make any sense?
