AEM or INGEN COLD AIR?????????

let me hear it guys i like the looks and style of the ingen but i heard aem works better let me know what you guys think peace.

AEM, but get ready to lose a little low end Torque....but i hear it pulls like a devil in the high end.

If you were to get the AEM intake would it be the short ram or the cold air. I don't have one yet, but I was thinking about getting the AEM cold air intake after I get a Vibrant exhaust. Hope you find the answer you're lookin for.

All i can do is agree with you, mine aint a cold air but my AEM shorty sure pulls like a motha when its cool outside

solution for the low end loss....you wont notice it as much if you do exhaust and headers first. Because a less restrictive intake is virtually useless without a less restrictive exhaust system.

Aem is good to drive around....Ingen is great when cold......but gets to0 hot...
so the choice is yours....i have both....and still shopping.....................

the Injen does pick up underhood heat until you start moving. Plus, since it is aluminum, it can disipate(sp?) heat faster. Also, the air is moving so fast through the tube that it's not picking up much of that heat anyway.

Basically, it's up to you...the Injen looks a lot better, but they give about the same power increases and decreases.

Can't speak for the AEM cuz I don't have one.I do have the INJEN and am very pleased w/ the performance over the previous intake setup I had.That being a FocusSport cool-flo w/ a BPT intake pipe.

thats exectly like the aem cai. Also made of aluminum. I deffinitly do prefer the aem cai. It really does pull good.

Wedge, by the same token you could say that a high flow exhaust is useless without an intake because unless you can get more air in the front, there's no need to be able to get more out the back.

Or you could say that a cat back is useless without doing a header first, and vice versa.

The reality is that all of these parts will help out the engine by themselves. They work best WITH each other, but it's not fair to say that an intake is "useless" without an exhaust.

FastRED, I can get you an AEM intake if you decide to go that route. Let me know.

well i guess useless was probably the wrong word....i shoulda said gains wont be to their full potential....but still alone an intake is much better than the stock box.
