Basically it's coming down to a decision on clutches, and these are the two I was looking at. The clutchmasters stage III/IV or the centerforce dual friction. Does anyone have an opinion about either one, on which way I should go?

articles would be very cool as well

Ok guys, you made me do it. I finally have to do the Bump trick

From what I understand you are supposed to just use the stock throw out bearing. I have seen Focusperformance have one on thier website, don't have a clue how the price competes with Ford.

I would just go with an ACT clutch. They make one for our car. In my opinion they are the best aftermarket clutch you can buy.

what makes you say that eric? have you used them before. that's the bad part of this whole thing, i don't get to try each clutch before i buy it. i have no comparison.

bottlefed (responding to the post below), if you goto their website, they list the focus clutch under development. i emailed them, to see when it'll be done, trying to get the skinny on it.

It hasn't made it into production yet. They have them on test cars right now and said its supposed to hit the markets at the end of this month or early next month. Keep in mind this is just for the HD clutch not the Xtreme kit. I have used an ACT Xtreme, Centerforce Dual Friction, and Clutchmasters Stage 3 w/kevlar disc all on the same car and by far the ACT was the best. It's what I am holding out for. (Xtreme kit) As far as I know that kit isn't even being tested right now.
Call ACT and ask them direct, I already have but it has been a few weeks and info might have changed.

I just called ACT. They said they are still working on it, and it won't be done for 2-3 months, the HD one at least. that's about the time I am gonna buy one, but is the ACT HD better than say the centerforce dual friction or clutchmaster III?

Sach makes a clutch kit for us. I would trust them more than any other because of their history and the fact that they are one of the largest OEM clutch manufacturers.

I agree. I am looking for something that can take at least 200hp. because shortly after doing this work, a-head-porting I will go-go!

ZX3Sith has the Clutchmasters Stage 3 along with his Stage 3 aerocharger and it slips. I've heard too many horror stories from people with those clutches. It seems like the only one that holds the power is the Stage 5 full drag race (engaged or disengaged) sintered iron clutch.

I thought the clutch master uses a sach pressure plate. I believe Ferrari also uses Sach.

Checked, yes Ferrari uses them.
