IM new to this and i love it, lots of info guys! Anyways i drive a 2001 silver zx3 of course a 5spd. I wanted to know which u recommend the Thermal R&D or Vibrant, i heard both sound clips, both sweet. Is there a much of a difference in loudness, i know Vibrants the loudest but how much louder then the thermal, which would be cooler for some 18in enkei cdr9's??Thanks

I hear a truck pulling up.

I prefer the Borla myself, but if you do a search I'm sure you will find some info on your question.

Stats show that performance gains are the same. But I hear that the Vibrant Has a much more "race" sound to it. I hear though that they both sound excellent, just the Vibrant is just a bit louder than the Thermal. Hope this helps.

Very nice mellow sound, smallish 3" tip that doesn't stick out too far. I love mine. Paid 400.

If you are talking about the Apexi World Sport exhaust the tip is 4 inches the same size as the vibrant, but it does have a really quiet nice sound

If you want to attract attention get the VIBRANT, i love it. You get used to the sound after a while and then its kinda fun to play around with the RPM's and figure out when it really starts to get loud.

I.E. In second gear, keep it around 25MPH (very quiet), coast at that speed and then, just floor it and it lets out its badassness GROWL

I listened to it all day? but does it sound better than the MBRP, and is it louder than the MBRP?Still pretty pricy though(MBRP $450+shipping), so ill prob end up with the sweet sounding VIBRANT,but i wish it had the thermal tip(round tip) not angel.Does the VIBRANT tip look as good as it sounds though?

The vibrant tip is not rolled like the Borla. Its 3" which isnt too bad, it looks like its supposed to be that size when you consider the cut out on the bumper. To get an idea, I can barely put my fist in the tip. I have a closeup of of the vibrant tip, email me if you want it.

well, if it's any consolation... the thermal does dyno higher than the vibrant. the numbers are close, but the thermal surpasses. plus, if you're looking for a quieter exhaust then the thermal is your best bet.

I have the vibrant and my brother has the thermal research. No comparison, mine is much louder and growls harder when you mash the gas. Although his a nice sound, I would definitely call it reserved. By the way, I believe Tony D. still has the thermal for under $400.
