something tells me that you should most definitely do something about the wiring to that front o2 sensor. it CAN'T be good to have it that taut. other than that it look killer. any CELs yet or have you done something to eliminate that already?

Is your SHM a shortie header?
Is that the new Random Technlogy Cat for the Focus or is it just their universal cat? I am trying to narrow down my options to finish my exhaust out, all I have is the Magnaflow CB.

That is a universal cat with SHM race header.
I beleive the street header and the cat made for the focus is a little cheaper way to go.

TAKE OFF THE STICKER!!! When it burns, you'll think you're gonna die!

CTZX3, Why did you decide to replace the high-flow cat with the Random? Was it really worth the $350?

what do you mean??????

ARRRRR>.you guys, HE HAS THE UNIVERSAL, its not $350, $350 is the full cat that replaces the stock with pipe and all. He just bought the cat, wont be more than $200 i figure, right?

The cat setup on Chris's car cost more with labor and parts to install than the Focus cat. His universal cat cost 300 for the cat and flanges with all the hardware and then to get it set up and welded together with O2 sensor fittings.

damn...the cat itself was $300?? Wow, i was mistaken then, i thought the universal cats were cheap. Oh well, i still like mine and im sure chris likes his alot too, he told me so

No, that was my point when "someone" was complaining about the price of the focus replacement cat. Most universal random tech cats are between $275 and $400. For the $350, you're getting a high quality high flow cat, the piping, fittings, and flanges, PLUS it's all welded together and ready for install. See the Value now??

Thanks for the info. Just wanted to get the facts straight. I hate the stock cat/pipe and flexpipe. I think I read that the Stock Manifold + Random Tech Cat Pipe + FS Flex Pipe is a feasible combo and would bolt on w/ out much trouble to an aftermarket exhaust system (2.25") is this correct? If so I'm ordering the Random cat/pipe and the FS flex pipe ASAP.

ok, first off, "someone" wasnt complaining as hard as "some others"

Also, just because their other stuff is expensive, and makes our cat look cheaper, doesnt mean its a better deal, just better business skills. NOW< im not saying its overpriced, i think $350 is a far price, compared to the stock one at $550. But, im just saying about business overall.

IF a company advertises an exhuast for a civic for $900, and then gives us focus drivers a "deal" for $700, does that mean its a great cheap price? See what i mean?
Again, this isnt intended towards RANDOM at all, im just saying overall.

And i really hope that all this talk about random quality and stuff is true, i dont wanna be changing my cat ever again. It looks good so far, but htey need to changed that damn EGR fitting, and thats about it. So far so good though
