Well, installed her today. 1st, what an easy mod. I did not port match the intake manifold, but might later, anyways. The gas pedal is so touchy, takes a little getting use to but nice. At 3500 RPM's, she really screams and pulls hard. I had an extremely low idle when I put on my AEM CAI, but the FC TB fixed that also. All-in-all, great mod for the money!!! P.S. I ordered thru ZED. Decent communication, quick shipping, packaging could be a bit better, bottom-line, I'll order again. FC header hear I come.

I knew you would like it. Also, did you take off your superchip when you left Charles' house? If so, have you put it back on yet? Notice any gains?

Please post any observations on your gas mileage if you can. Obviously it'll PROBABLY eat more fuel, but how much more?
Or is that only an injector issue???(I'm more used to carburetors than throttle-bodies...)
Please advise...

All things equal, if you were to drive normal, I mean normal, i.e. easy shifts, slow take-offs, like granny Smith, then you would get better MPG, but since we all put on these mods then drive like bats outta hell, then no, I'm sure the mileage will dwindle a bit.

I did take off my Superchip and I did notice the difference. I put it back in right away.

Question: Should I reset the ECU now that I installed the TB???

I installed my TB today and I really like it! It took 25 minutes to install. My car has a five speed and the first thirty minutes was jumpy until I figured how to control it.

Feels like I picked a few ponnies, but I have just about every bolt on cams, cam gears, header, cat back, chip, cai, udp.

I felt a huge difference in the highway, I did not have to downshift to pass a truck.

Good Mod. I see it hard on an automatic because it may be slightly difficult to control in bumper to bumper traffic.

Thats what I was wondering....how touchy it would be for an auto.

Gonna be my next mod, yep!

I have a SuperChip and have noticed no problems. I will be on the road this weekend, so I will monitor MPG.

It's fine. I sit in traffic to and from work and don't have a problem.

Well from Dallas to San Antonio last night, driving into the wind, w/ the A/C on and off due to the damn humidity and our dogs in the back w/ two people and a large suitcase, using 92+ octane w/ a Superchip, we got 320 miles and still have about 1/8 of a tank left. Not to shabby if you ask me. Plus we got into it w/ a BMW in Austin so we porbably burned a little extra their also.!!!

:)

Votes in, the FC TB rocks.

P.S. The Focus is actually my wife's daily driver and my weekend toy, well she hadn't driven it since the TB and could not believe the pickup and highway passing power. She loves it though she stills needs practice bacause when we switched in Waco, we came outta the gas station bucking like a bull cuz she wasn't use to the TB. HAHAHAHAHA
