Does anyone who has the AEM CAI (either 1st or 2nd gen) recommend the Bypass valve? I live in NJ, so it can snow pretty deep but rarely do I like to drive in puddles nor does it torrentally (sp?) rain here

I know it hurts performance a little, but should I get it?

No you don't have to buy another one, you use the 1" one where it screws into the coil and the 5/8" to connect to the frame rail, at least thats how I installed mine Thursday and it fits great.

FrescoFoci,
It's good protection regardless of your rain situation, snow probably not as big of an issue, except for filter cleanliness.

Do you do any racing at the track? You could always get a 2nd rubber sleeve, take the bypass valve off when racing and put the sleeve in it's place.
