That is so sweet! Thanks for that pic. That is going to be worth the wait. I am buying that header as soon as it is available, or at least an aftermarket version. Put the cat. back under the car where it belongs.

The angle of the bends aren't that great to induce any loss of power. They are spaghetti'd to accomplish and Equal Length final ratio. The longer the tubes the more tuned it is to high end power. And I'm sure that the 4-2-1 design has something to do with the added length requirement.

I wonder how much that head/cat will be? I really like the design, and it looks like it stays very close to the engine, meaning no fan relocations or anything. Just get that baby jetcoated and you're set!!

I hope so! I have heard people on this site express concern about sensors and stuff. I don't know about that. But ounce the aftermarket figures out how the fit the cat. under the car they will definantly make one for us. They have to.

The bends don't seem to me like they would be a huge issue at all. In the current set up all the primary tubes have to head for the hood before being sent back downward to the collector. If anything this design seems to be a bit more horse-pony concious.

Maybe I'm a kill joy but I wonder how much an impact all this coaxing of HP will have on efficiency and MPG. I have come to enjoy driving cars with high reving little power plants and tight nimble suspensions but when it comes right down to it there is still no substitute for cubes.

I will be interested to see how many of the SVT doo-dads will bolt onto a more mundane motor. If I had to guess I would think Ford would want many to be direct bolt ons or at least easy mods. Seems that they are going through FAR too much trouble promoting the Focus aftermarket to act otherwise.

Thanks for posting that really cool picture!! Our HotImportNights is coming up and hopefully they will bring that along so I can see it too.

One person asked if they could purchase this header and relocate their cat and still remain smog legal. My best guess is no because you are not allowed to modify or relocate emissions equipment. The cat for the SVT and the ZX3 are probably different as well so you would run into another problem there. Blame the tree huggers...

In SCC or some other mag they said that the SVT header will be a direct bolt on for the zx3's engine. Now the thing is u'll probably have to have a highflow cat custom made because i think it something like a grand to buy a cat from the dealer.
