i think the armrest is a part of the comfort group package.

and by PM he means personal message. at the top of the page on the right, there is a link that says "my profile". click that and it will take you to your pm's.

I did'nt want to mess with taking the console out so just made a piece of styrofoam and wrapped it in fabric.
Works ok for me.And no cost.

Great idea Rich! Not as cool as getting a factory console without the armrest to be sure, but it looks like it might be a great way to go because you have a mini-armrest for your passengers. How did you fasten it?

Had some soft styrofoam laying around.
Just measured all the areas in and around the opening and cut out to fit tight.
You'll see what to cut when you take the armrest out.It's kinda like routing out part of the bottom.
Then pulled the fabric tight and I just pushed in some finish nails to hold it.

My daughter has popped it out with her feet when she comes across to the front seat,but just pick it up and push it back in.
Mine is mostly work car and then the kids are in back so it's ok this way for now.
One day I'll get a armless console,but I won't hold my breath.

I just broke mine off, and hold my remote control (for my car stereo) in it. It looks clean even without anything there. Its painted black stock.
I think that the stock armrest is dangerous because you can either a) not shift or b) don't have access to the ebrake.

Anyone else interested in doing a swap?
I have a Dark-Charcoal Interior. I have an Armrest.
I want Rid of it.
Anyone want to "Move up to Luxury" and Swap?
I don't know that I want to fabricate anything, but I guess I will someday if I have to...

Anyone know were to get the euro center console with the bigger tray under the dash.

Also, does anyone know what the that little dent is for in the domestic modle is for?
