Dad\'s car at SEMA IAS show in L.A....cute girl inside!
I'm in the picture posting mood the past couple of days, so I figured I'd share with you all some pics of one of my dad's cars at the SEMA International Auto Salon show in LA last spring.
My dad's company was asked to provide a car for the SEMA IAS Action Center, where they would have teams compete to build a car during the show while the attendees watched. We got Subaru to give the company a sweet deal on a WRX so once we got that, I drove the Subaru down to L.A. from Seattle to have it painted and have a custom Hotchkis suspension outfitted for it. Various sponsors provided all the goodies that went on the car over the two or three days it spent at the show.
While many of you don't like the company, APC provided the crew to work on the car, as well as many of the parts. They were very cool and knowledgeable. I spent some time at their shop in Carona, and I have to say that they actually have a very good operation running. I have to give them many props for hosting me when I visited, and for donating their time and money to the project.
The girl in the photos I saw a couple of months ago on either Spike or MTV. They were following her around for this "how to be an import model" show. I was tripping when I realized that I recognized her from the photos.
Mods Summary:
-Hotchkis suspension (coils, anti-sway, strut tower, etc.)
-Borla exhaust
-NOS nitrous system
-Carbon fiber hood
-Kicker stereo system
-New seats
-paint
-Aftermarket tails
-Street Glow neons
-other stuff too...
