Re: Trqy

Email off to ya William.

Sorry, I was really wrapped up in the SRT-4 today. But, I promise I will be scanning the dyno on Thursday and emailing it to Bela.

Re: Trqy

Please understand I'm not knocking JR or SVT. I'm trying to get more info to hopefully help Dave make more power. There just ain't 40 more HP left in his car even with race gas and more timing (I don't think). What was the boost on the last run Dave? Also, was anything else done to the SVT/JR car besides the blower pulley and tuning?

2.5 exhaust, off road pipe, short ram intake, and the smaller pulley. I think that's about it.

It is at 10 pounds of boost at 7K, just before 7K actually. My mods where
-I only had the OVERDRIVE crank pulley on, the blower pulley is not on yet!
-Test pipe (off road pipe/no cat)
-Nology wires
-msd coil pack
-2.5 Exhaust (Borla)
-Short ram induction
-Pro Flow with calibration sheet I gave to Jerry that was tuned for 02 focus with 42 pound injectors
-42 pound injectors
-and tranny mods listed below in sig

It might be that I had the valve breather in the open, and not hooked to the induction, which may have attributed to me loosing some boost. JR thinks the boost is escaping somewhere. I know Im not going to be at 240, but I was expecting at least 210 with the new boost. Thanks for all your help David P., and I should be able to get to a dyno this weekend and see if the valve breather being hooked back up to the induction helps at all. Also, I have mailed Bela the dyno graphs (before and after) one with the powercard, and the other with sct tune. Ill try to get to the dyno this weekend, but I am kinda short on chash, but ill try.

Re: Trqy

Here are Infra's Dyno's. You can click the image to get a full size image.

You'll notice that the stock graph, he has 150 ft/lbs of torque by 3500K RPM's. With the SCT tune he has 150 ft/lbs at 2500 RPM's. He gets all the power 1K Sooner. And as you can see in the second tune, the lines are perfectly smooth. Which is typical of an SCT tune. They really smooth your power delivery so your car feels that much stronger.
And his torque is FLAT. His torque looks almost spot on for 10lbs. Since Jackson only pulled 187 ft/lbs max with a very similar flat curve at (I have to believe it was 14lbs of boost), I would say his power is pretty darn close then. And with higher octane I would bet the could lean out the A/F and really make some power

FYI, the second graph is really hard to read, but peak torque is over 160. I don't know what the exact nums are.

Here are the graphs:

With the Power Card:

Here is with the SCT tune

Re: Trqy

Sorry about that second graph ill try to clean it up and send it back to ya Bela. The peak numbers are
160.0 trq
203.3 hp
BELA I SENT YOU ANOTHER EMAIL WITH A CLEARER GRAPH...THE FROM ADDRESS IS A ONLINESALES ADDRESS SO DONT DELETE IT.

Re: Trqy

Thanks David.
Sorry for the two emails, but I figured once you saw an email from "onlinesales" you would be like me and erase it right away!

Re: Trqy

just an FYI on the race gas in the comp car....

that car ran 100% of the time on race gas. When it was driven up to FOTB last year....... tank full of race gas. Driven home.... race gas.

That car was designed and built for one reason... it had no need to run pump gas ever. It wasn't an intentional move to bump up the numbers. Thats how it was made to run.

Now, Jon's car was tuned while on the dyno when the race gas was added... but thats a different story all together.

Re: Trqy

Yeah I got 104 in her now. Was told that I can go as high as 116, and can run leaded with no cat. But, Ill stick with unleaded. Does feel a little more peppy with the 104 run through the system the last couple of fill ups.
