Ok I'm sure it was a simple mistake but FS is now closed (missed them by 10 minutes). I want to get this installed today... like asap because it's my only day off.

It looks like it would be pretty strait forward, but I also ordered the paste for install. What do I do with this stuff? The bottle has German all over it....

Can someone help me out here... maybe an abreviated version of the instructions in text only?

I havent used the stuff before. With that in mind. I would blob a nice bit of it inside the female end, about and inch deep or so all the way around. Then, when you shove the male side into the female side it will spread the paste as it goes in.

As I thought about it more, I guess you could just coat the male side and slide it in. Am I giving this too much thought? hahaha I think the key point is that you want to have a nice hermetic seal so exhaust doesnt seep out somehow. Good Luck

I'm taking off now to the house I'm installing it at... going to go with putting it on the male end so that way none of it gets inside the male opening, which would be inside the pipe.

Still no word on instructions, wish me luck
It's really easy, you should have no trouble installing it. I didn't need the paste, but i guess it could help with sealing. You pretty much just line it up and tighten down

. Do the slip joint last and make sure the tip is sitting properly (i had to hold up the first bend in the system to get it to sit right). Good luck, should be no problem, who needs instructions anyway (coming from the guy who attempted an FC pulley install without them)

Got it installed, only hitch was cutting the stock exhaust, had to cut it in 2 places because I underestimated my ground clearance with the car only on stands. 1st cut was basically pointless.

The paste is stinky right now heheheh, but I'm sure it will harden and burn off the smell soon.

The car had some issues turning over the first couple times I started it, I wonder if the ECU will adjust... off to go drive it more.

So you got this on now? Sorry about the instructions. One of us was just about to go up to the shop to e-mail them to you.

The install is pretty much cake, we just have the instructions as a fail safe back up plan for some people. The Zetec kit doesn't even come with any at all.

Again, we apologize.

my biggest question about the install is what the paste is for..... is it a lube paste, or seal paste?

Oh and all that talk about lubing up the female and male ends and stuff made for great reading. If anyone just read those posts without knowing the context they would be on the floor laughing

Ya Randy, I got it on now. I have never ever installed exhaust *anything* before on a car. Replaced transmissions, brakes all kinds of other stuff, but never messed with exhaust. I just like to be sure about things the first time I do them. Like where to make the cut on the stock exhaust would have been helpful... my hacksaw isn't very sharp

I'm no mechanic, just a DIY kinda guy.

BTW it sounds great and fits well. Anyone have any tricks for securing the tip a bit more? It slaps the bumper side to side when you go over speed bumps and such since it's just on the hanger.

Update on this product: I have received compliments on the sound from several people, including an Integra owner who wishes his wasn't so loud and sounded like mine. With no stealth muffler on, I think the sound is perfect.

I think the ECU had to adjust some, on one occasion it was idling high and jumping around, and it hasn't been hard to start except the first 2 times after the install.

The tip is attractive as well, and it's nice not to have that big ol' lunch box thing sticking out of the bottom of the bumper.
