I hit an 8 inch tall curb going 25 mph. It was hidden under the snow. And if you notice, the top of the shock snapped right off. I need new tie rods, radius arm, trailing arm, shock absorber, and some minor crap. Should run me close to 3-400 if I do the work myself.

when did this happen???

Ah, so you clipped the curb at an angle? That happened to my dad's old '79 Yamaha Excel V (540cc). We had to get the frame straightened. It just has the old leaf spring front. That old clunker sure halls a$$ though. I've had it up to 100 with a passenger. No where near the acceleration of the new sleds though.

Man this thread is making me miss the snow belt

03 ZX3, that's why I ride Cat's! I nailed a tree stump in the ditch a couple of weeks ago doing 40 MPH, the right side of the sled came up about 4 feet, it hurt my shoulder it threw me up so fast, I got thrown one way and the sled went the other. Once I dug it out of the bushes, I looked 'er over and hopped right back on and canned her and kept going. I know my IFS ia straight and it sure as hell wasn't the worse hit that same front end hit something hard!

Anyways, all sleds are good as ong as they being ridden! It's just like Ford to Chevy and Dodge. I like the Polaris RMK and the Mustard Bucket, er, Ski-Doo MXZ, they are real nice sleds, but my next sled will be a Arctic Cat FireCat F6.

Mine right now is the first sled I ever rode/owned. It is a '92 Cat Prowler special. I have put about 1000 miles on it since I bought it in '97. I rode it 32 miles last year and this year it has about 100 miles on it this year. I am keeping it at my friends, but I will take pictures next time I'm there and post them.

Ok, I just scanned in my best picture of it.

P.S. I also moderate Team Tech and Problems, however, I don't post much anymore on any of those forums and I beleive this is the first time I've posted in Pit Stop in a LONG TIME. I will hve to change that though I think!

Its nice to see a snowmobile other than mine.

Not a bad looking sled you got there. I do like the new firecats also, but there is a few things I dont like about the sled. Mostly minor. I didnt know the made an F6, I thought it was just F5 and F7.

I ordered all the parts for my sled, just over $400.

Should be in working order tommorow.

Thats why I will never waterskip. All my friends say Im scared, but that is exactly why I wont.

I have a friend that has a Yamaha SRX 700 triple triple and Ive seen him waterskip a 100' stretch easy. Im still too scared.
