This is my new car, picked it up wednesday. I'm an old guy, with wife and kid, mortgage, etc... but i wouldn't mind some constructive advice on simple mods and performance enhancements that I should consider.
Cool site, and some fantastic cars out there.

I'm new to the 4cyl world, i've driven v8s since I was a kid. Sold my 94 Mustang GT last fall and a winter beater this spring, for a full time car. (had to clear out the garage, sick of two vehicles) I've been wrenching my own cars forever, so a little grease doesn't scare me. I'm also computer literate, and I've been curious about computer tuning and the like.

I hope to learn much about these fun little cars while reading the rest of the site.

I'm the oppisite of you. I've been building 4-bangers since I was about 16 (I'm now 23) and never touched a V-8 nor a V-6 in my life, well maybe some Mazda and Mitsubishis but nothing domestic.

I'm planning in the future to probably building up a SOHC V-8 out of a Mustang but that'll probably won't happen for a few years.

Enjoy your stay at FJ and got questions, many of these guys (and gals) can help you on them.

I thought I recognized the building in the back ground for a minute. Is that a gov. building?

This forum here is for posting pictures of your car, which is what you did. LOL Donat worry about it. We can give you advice too. There is an SVT specific forum a little farther down the main index there so look out for that. Welcome to the 'Jet! L8er Jon

Did those side moldings come factory painted?

all SVT's come with painted moldings and mirrors

Nope, it's not. I'm the #2 computer nerd at an architecture/engineering firm in michigan, and it's my office.

Thank you all for the nice welcome and compliments. I'm really enjoying the car, sofar.

welcome...

You should hop into the SVT area for advice on upgrades... and depending upon what your goal is, maybe even follow what the signatures tell you inside the Race/Rally group (look at what the people with svt in their signatures are saying about parts)

There are lots of great things out there... I'd have to say that the single greatest thing to do (in my not so humble opinion) is the (holy) Quaife.
