Does anyone know when you new fixed ORP will be available? Just curious...

what was wrong with it? I was considering getting one, but havent really looked into much. Is there a problem with it? How did they fix it? Thanks in advance.

The flanges that mount to the bracket have been cracking.

The new ORP does not have this flange any more, if you have that is not broken you can just disconnect it from the hanger.

we now have a car goin round in this ares w/o a hanger, we'll see how it goes

That would be me. I started to hear a rattle in my engine bay. I took the orp out to check it out because I thought that was the problem, it acctually was the lower cat bracket that was broken. I got that replaced. Then after hearing the new revised ORP does not have hangers on it, I just decided to put it back on, and take the cat brakets out, essecitally the same thing. Sofar so good, the car seems to be rideing well, an obviously no rattle, because theirs nothing in there for it to bang against

Hmmm... maybe THAT'S what is rattling, even though it's not hooked up to the ORP. I'll try removing that this week. I thought it might be my flex pipe, but I can't see where that would be making noise.

do u have any pics? whats the difference between the old and new?? thanks
I’ll put some up when I get my camera back. But the new one has no flanges on it.

Just like mentioned above you can install it with out attaching it the cat bracket or remove the bracket all together.

some silly questions...

a) what does the o2 cheater kit do exactly?

b) can you pass inspections with the ORP hooked up? If not, how hard is it to uninstall? Does in hurt anything to take it off and then put it back on (blot strength, etc)?

Thanks 'fo any help

Your ECU gets a reading from the first O2 censer (think if it as a SIN wave), the exhaust go though the cat and is cleaned up, then the second O2 censer reads the gases, and then produces a different SIN wave. Long as the two SIN Waves are different the ECU is happy.

The O2 cheater switch is essentially and signal generator. Now will it pass emissions, depends in MD they only hook up to the OBDII port long as ever thing check out your good to go. if they use a sniffer you SOL.
