Hey XCR, Looks Good! What kind of drop do you have? I'm about to order mine in CD Silver. However, what happens to the "lip-lookin' thing" that's already on the front and rear? Mine has this thing on the front and a similar piece on the back.

thats your normal bumper dude...nothing special. Why wouldnt you order a yellow one? silver on yellow is gonna look like you couldnt afford to paint it

dude - look at the first post. if your color isn't listed, you'll have to get a primed kit and get it painted.

. This 'kit' doesn't look lower than what's already there. Is it just a different design or am i not seeing the 'lower' effect?

Well I haven't put the kit on b/c I'm still at school, and it's at home, but I promised my exhaust tip to one of my Foci friends. So we go to put it on and guess what? The stampings are too deep and it wouldn't fit! Nothing is ever as simple as it needs to be. I'll fix it, but my friend was all jazzed about getting it. Oh well I get to suprise them when I fix it and sneak over and put it on.

Mine wouldnt fit either!!!! Im really heated. How can I go about fixing this. I already scraped up the muffler trying to get it on. LOL

Is there any drilling involved in mounting the lips? since my zx3 already has the factory black sideskirts, i'm assuming they use the same holes to attach?

There is drilling involved for the front lip as well as the rear. For the side skirts, I would think the holes are the same, however, for me, I didn't have any stock skirts, so I got to drill all of the holes. There may be some drilling required on the undercarriage for the attach points, as there are multiple ones, front and rear (of the rocker panel moldings).

Alright, well how long did it take you to install the whole kit? I am just wondering because I am having my shop paint my mirrors and side moldings and if it doesn't take too long, I might just have them slap this kit on as well.

Does it come with all necessary screws and does it have directions?

Anyone know the answer to my question?

Well, i just went to fordparts.com and ordered the body kit(toreador red for zx3), but 5 mins later i go a call and they said they have been discountinued.

Got turned down by fordparts.com, but then i called my local dealer and they said they could order it for 145.21. we'll see if they have any luck.

Got the sangria red kit for the wife's ZX5 today from fordparts.com. Huge box, supposedly somebody ate the freight cost on it as I only paid $114.95 delivered to my door. Will definitely go through the dealer next time if I decide to get the same kit for mine.

Took me about 4 hours total, but I had to drill the holes for the rocker panels as well, which took the longest due to the exact measurements needed. All bolts and such are inlcude in the kit. In the end, if I had to do it over, it would probably still take 2-3 hours.

Now a professional shop could probably do it in about 2.

I just took my kit to the body shop today to get painted! I also bought the SVT paintable door side moldings to be painted and put on at the same time. i think everything is going to look great!

Where did you get the SVT paintable side moldings? Would it just be easier for me to take off my black side moldings and get those painted?

you can just get the black ones painted. but they'll have to be sanded first. my black ones were peeling off. so ford warrentied them and gave me the paintable ones instead.

dammit i'm pissed. i ordered a kit on 4/20, it was supposed to come in today, but instead the dealer got a message with today's shipment that the part is obsolete.

Ok guyes. I finally got around to getting the kit on tonight. It looks amazing. Very clean but not stock at all. It cost me 125 for the instalation. Id take pics tonite but its too dark so Ill get some up tommorow

Put mine on last weekend, took me and a buddy about five hours. We went really slow, and it looks great.
(also makes my 15" split spokes look even smaller)
wheels just got pushed into the on deck circle.

I was wondering if anyone still has these for sell I called my ford dealers and they said they arent selling them anymore because its discontinued.
