1. Yes. I now bike for any trip under 3 miles where I won't have to carry things (to work, class, etc)

2. The higher it goes, the more I'll bike.

3. I'm already considering a small scooter or motorcycle for in-town driving, and save the car for long-distance trips where it gets better mileage.

1. No

2. I don't really drive more than I should so I don't at what price I would cut back.

3. There are no hybrid cars that I like. If I had to go with something else I would go a VW TDI. This was the main reason we traded in our Rodeo for another Focus.

1.So far, nope
2.Depends on what I drive
3.I will Not buy a car because of gas prices, But I want to get a moped and drive to work, and Get a Sticker for the side that says [censored] Gas Prices!

1)Nope.
2)Something severe, like $4.00/gal for 93. Fuel bill for my F-150 is reimbursed by my employer, so I guess its all up too how much he wants to pay.
3)I wont consider a hybrid. Even if gas prices get wild.

1. Are you driving less as gas prices rise?

2. If not, at what price will you alter the amount you drive?

3. At what price would you consider an even more fuel efficient car then the one you currently drive?
I am not driving less. I drive 2 cars. A Geo Metro.
But I just filled up my 00 Ranger and it was $38 $2.31 for 87! If it goes up any further than it is now, I won't be driving the Focus or the Ranger, I will be on the bus at the crack of dawn to get to work on time.

1. Yes. I avoid unnecessary trips and drive at the speed limit all the time.

2. Price is not the only consideration. Polution and the Mid-East situation are concerns.

3. Again fuel price isn't my only concern. I'd be driving a diesel now if we had the same choices for cars that Europeans get. Just bring over the diesel Focus, or Mazda 3.

1.Yes,I just drive if absolutely neccessary at this point.

2.Gas prices are high as it is and still climbing but the higher it goes the more walking I might do.

3.I will not take a massive hit on the poor resale value on the focus so that isn't a consideration for me but when my loan is over I will look for a more fuel efficient vehicle that is for sure.

No

Maybe $5-6

Maybe $5-6

Heck at 60 gallons per month, even when adding 25% race gas at $4.94 gallon, and running premium for the balance, the gas bill is still only about $200 / month. As a percentage of the monthly expenditures, even an extra buck or two per gallon really doesn't amount to much. Some people throw away more than that on cigarettes or Starbucks each month.

1.) Unfortunately no, but we never take the wife's Mustang GT anymore. We always take my car as it is better on gas.

2.) If it gets up to $2.50 or so, I'll definately be doing less driving.

3.) I doubt I'd consider a more fuel efficient car, I'd just extremely limit my driving. I'd plan my route to get to the store and get what I need and that would be it. No unnecessary trips throughout the week...go to work and come home.

The sad thing about this whole "f'd" up situation is that we are all gonna pay for it whether we curtail our driving or not because everything will increase in price in time. It's already happening.

In my useless opinion this is just Bush's way of paying for this stupid war in Iraq!! But then again what do I know.

1. Are you driving less as gas prices rise? Not really, I don't have much of a choice in the matter.

2. If not, at what price will you alter the amount you drive?
I'd say at about $2.75-$3.00.

3. At what price would you consider an even more fuel efficient car then the one you currently drive?
The Focus is pretty fuel efficent as it is. I don't see a whole lot out there that is so much more fuel efficent that it would be worth it to sell the Focus. However, i've already decided to hold back on some mods (Chip, cams, headwork), because buying 91 octane would make my wallet run away and hide under a rock. If the price got too unreasonable, i'd probably be more apt to buy some sort of motorcycle to take to work/school/etc.

1.) Yes. Going to start riding back and forth to work on the motorcycle. The ST1100 should get around 40-44mpg.

2.) $2.75

3.) If it became that bad, I'd get a turbo diesel vehicle.

All I know is that this is an election year, and I one of my top issues is having a candidate who won't let OPEC grab them by the balls and squeeze until they're blue in the face.

1. Not so much less, but definitely less "spirited".

2. It sucks now, but I'll cut back drastically at $3.00

3. I'm looking now...

1) No I drive about the same, to two jobs and wine runs.

2) the thesholed $2.50

3) I will not give up my focus over the Terrorist nations Gas price conspericy

I will just ride my bicycle for shorter trips around town. I'm addicted to my Focus and don't want to be "cured"
