Tom was quick to correct me about mail order chips. Apparently he only does FI mail order and NOT NA mail order, so...

Randy, thats not entirely true. I dont know about regular ZX3's, but Tom does do mail order for NA SVT's

I have one of his Predators sitting right here, and the tune was very good

Ok let me get this straight

I DO NOT do chips for NA Foci (ZX3) I DO have chips for FI Focus ZX3

I DO Predators for both NA and FI SVT Focus

Why FI and not NA when FI is beleived to be the most difficult of the two.

Because we do not feel there is enough gain on NA chips and were not selling something to customers that we feel isnt worth the money

I think drew was asking why NA tuning on SVT's but not on ZX3's, and i think the answer is the same, that you dont feel there is enough gain on the regular zetec. What types of gains do you get with the NA SVT tunes?

I've driven cars with and without the SCT tuning FocusSport provides, and I must say that there is a night and day difference. The driveability is much improved and the power gained is very noticeable.

What experience have you had with your chips and why do you think there isn't enough difference to justify making them?

Sure some tip in timing is going to help and cleaning up what little in the driveability issuesthat can be doe will aslo help

There has never been anyone that has done a ZX3 with minor mods and a chip post a dyno that has some ones chip in it ZX3 / NA that has shown any HP/TQ gains worth the cost of the chip

To me worth the cost being 6 to 8HP gain at the wheels

I have had many chips on my dyno from many differant companys on NA ZX3 Foci and not one time seen more than a 4.5HP gain at the wheels

If your happy with the NA cip you have that is great ,I not trying to say anything more than why I DONT DO NA ZX3 CHIPS

As for the SVT the most we have seen is 21HP and 19TQ at the wheels with the our Predator tue ,,On an average we see 14HP and about 16TQ

Non-Dyno, at the Track, Gary K could FEEL a difference that was great enough to leave a poo-eating grin for the rest of the weekend, as he reached definite new top-speeds on any straights.
