Anyways, I work at a car stereo shop. This lady with her (17?) year old son came in so I could install an amp in their 2001 SE wagon. It was a autotragic with the 2.0L Zetec. (pretty standard)

Anyways, this loser is talking to me out of his a$$, saying things like

"this is built for the autobahn"

"this is a super special ztw-e which is a concept for your (my) ZX3"

"my wagon has no speed limiter and will do 165" (eventhough his cluster has no tach, and only goes to 140)

"is has about double the horsepower of your car"

I just looked at him and said "no it doesn't"... I just couldn't contain myself, and had to say something. (since the car was COMPLETELY stock)

I even bet him $50 that my ZX3 would crush him. He said he would "run me" but would have to drop his mom off first...
Does this dude think I'm an idiot?

I understand that my car isn't the fastest car in the world, but I think it would probably slice him up a little bit. (look at the sig)

WHY DO PEOPLE SAY THIS STUFF? His car obviously doesn't have a 300-HP engine... He then went on to tell me that his brother has a stereo that will put out 390dB (another comepletely bull-censored line)...

The funny thing was, his mom was backing him up on all of these stupid comments... why are people such idiots?

I'm sorry all, I just needed to vent and tell everyone that there really ARE people out there who are just plain stupid.

There ARE the RARE Street Edition Wagons, but they had no special engine mods, only suspension and details.
Nicest Focus Wagon ever, but still no more power than any stock Zetec, and w/ the Automatic, it'd be on the weaker side.
So, let us know if he returns.

I had some riceboy yesterday tell me that his STOCK '91 Mitsu eclipse non-turbo auto could kick my cars ass. Just so you guys know, Im running about 155whp, and high 14's. Anytime I asked him what he had done, he would say, "It doesnt matter" Thats rice for, nothing. All I saw was cobra eye windshield washer things and a heavy ass stereo in the back.

That's like this guy I used to go to school with who would talk all this stuff about his ?twin turbo? ford escort. I dont even know if that is possible, but it had a stock exhaust on it, a bunch of stupid stickers, was automatic, and sounded completely stock. His answer if you asked to see his engine? not until im done with it, its not clean now... etc etc.

WTF is THAT supposed to mean?!?
I follow NASSAR (National Association of Sedan-Shaped Auto Racing), and I KNOW my rice from my real.
IN FACT, it's BECAUSE I know Driving, Cars, Physics, etc that I ENJOY NASCAR.
Lack of appreciation is usually based on either lack of understanding of just how "on the edge of the laws of physics" they are, OR because of a dislike of their "Southern-Roots" fanbase.
That's like hating a perfectly good band just because a percentage of their fans are morons. Those morons have no bearing on the band's music.
Either way, Reason one AND Reason two are Both WEAK and ill-informed.
Now back to our regularly scheduled discussion of Ricehead idiots....

just a little extra info:

To get to 390dB (like he originally stated) he would have to be running MANY incredibly efficient drivers with a system of about [(10^24.5)*2500]watts!!!!!

That is (for you folks who don't do much math) somewhere on the order of 8x10^27 Watts or 8 with 27 zeros after it!!!

ALSO, the sun's power output is 4x10^26.... This loser's stereo would have to be 20times the total power output of the sun!!!

How 'bout those apples?

Sorry about the technical stuff, I'm going to school for Electrical Enginneering, and these kind of calculations interest me. (along with proving how much of a dummy this dude is.)

i dunno, i was in a gas station and a kid pulled up with a zx3, no big deal and i asked him how it ran, he began to tell me that his "Cat-Back" exhaust was the best one on the market because there were fans inside it to push the air out faster. it was just something like a muffler welded onto his stock piping. so i laughed in his face and left.
