Enjoy your holiday.

The Duratec block is as strong as anything you'll need for street use, in my opinion. Down the road, if you get really serious, as in pro racer serious, then perhaps an alternative block MIGHT be needed. But by that time, the car wouldn't be very fun as a driver.

you dont think with 300 hp, in a car as "light" as ours, he would be able to compete with atleast vettes?? i would think so. obviously he could take the stangs and camaros but i would think he would be able to take the cars a class above those. i could be wrong tho (probably

) lol

It's really not even worth debating all the hypotheticals.

we all gotta have dreams right?!?

but for real man...go for it. do it. make a name for yourself amongst the focus crowd. were all rootin for ya. i for one know i would LOVE to see that actual potential of this engine (for a "normal" tuner) if regular joe shmoes are kickin out 300+ hp that will be a turning point for the way other tuners look at us

Good luck with the project, I look forward to reading about your progress over the next couple years. Who knows, you may break some doors down if you are able to get a streetable 400HP pump gas 2.3 going.

It's the hyphen that needs killing. If he moved to Ontarioish, there'd be no problem.

Also if he took my suggestion to Bela, and added a silent 'y' at the end, he could move to Ontario-ishy and there would also be no problem.
