Ford of europe\'s New CUV

Ford has sprung the First Vehicle based off the New EUCD platform that will spawn new medium Fords and volvos in th next Few years, based on a Stretched C1 platform and designed for world class performance and handling. The produciton SAV will bow this Fall at the Franfurt motor show along with The mondeo or Galaxy Concept cars.

The SAV is designed to make Ford of europe profitable. something the mondeo couldn't.

Re: Ford of europe\'s New CUV

Looks to me like Ford of Europe has taken ugly to a whole nother level:

I'm going to have to give that

The front looks awful. Especially the hood line for some reason. And those wheels...what the [censored] were they thinking?

Now maybe the production version won't be so 'over the top and may be a little more appealing.

But kudos to Ford of Europe for moving forward with a new platform.

I think it looks cool! I especially like the back end of it! So aggressive for a mini-van!

Re: Ford of europe\'s New CUV

WE are jipped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is one cool car utility vehicle.

Reminds me of the Subaru B9X Tribeca

The wheels look like the Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster wheels.

Re: Ford of europe\'s New CUV

Reminds me of that Yellow Renault Van with the twin turbos that was featured in GT2.. looks cool I guess

Matra started building that van in 1994. The engine wasn't turbocharged, rather they used an F1 Williams Renault V10 with around 800 HP, 520 tq, and a 15000 RPM redline. Basically it was an F1 minivan that sat four, yet hit 60mph in 2.8 seconds and go on to 194 mph.

CUV looks mean. CAnt wait for it to come out there and never come out here. Maybe we'll get another SUV or another minivan!

Re: Ford of europe\'s New CUV

i like it, i see mazda3 influence in the rear lines. headlights could use a little tweaking, but other than that, yet another good-looking C1 variant...so far only marred by the C1 ZX3

Re: Ford of europe\'s New CUV

All it looks like, is someone 'smushed' a ZTW into the dimensions of a Mazda3 5-door, while keeping the front end look of the ZTW (albeit distorted) and retaining the rear and side appearance of the Mazda3

Supposedly a ride in the Espace F1 made Frank Williams smile... and if you know Frank Williams, he doesn't smile.
