Oil Drain

I know this has been brought up before but the question was never answered. does anybody running a T25 Garrett (nissan)know what size and thread the oil drain is? i can't find one for the life of me...and don't say go try the fittings and a hardware store because i've spent HOURS and HOURS at each store in the area trying to find one...if some one is using one if they can show me where i can get the exact one or send me one and i'll pay them...i'm desperate i'm waiting on this to finish my kit! Thanks

also no the turbo is not touching the radiator

i don't really want to drill and tap but if i have to i guess i will

I can't help with a T25 fitting but I can tell you how to find it.
On my Mitzi turbo I needed a fitting that I couldn't find anywhere (I was really pulling my hair out) so I went to the Mitzi Dealership and bought it.
Maybe you could ask a Nissan Dealer.

I believe it is a BST fitting, any aeroquip outlet <u>should</u> be able to hook you up, also try the nissan boards for more info on the turbo

haha it seems your turbo has one of the hardest to find drain fitting size!! Well done

The fitting required is a #10 IF fitting (5/8" Inverted Flair). Looks like the only place to pick up this fitting is at a Truck Parts Supply Store!!

Good luck. I was originally going to use this turbo on my car but was never able to find a fitting for it. But then again taht was like 2 years ago too.

I got the same Garrett T25 turbo, i found my oil drain plug at home depot. I spent so much time looking for it but found 1.Good luck getting one

are you still using the drain plug? is there way i can buy from you if you get one? i seriously have looked everywhere contaced numerous companies NO luck...i will almost pay anything for this! i'll pay for you to get one and send it to me and everything!!!

yea i'll look again and try to find a shop to see if they have one...but like i said i'm almost sick of searching...but thanks for the info i hope it helps

Maybe I'm missing something, but why don't you just take the turbo with you to a plumbing supply house and find the right fitting? If they don't have it in stock, I'm sure they can order one for you.

Or plan B...

A google search for "#10 inverted flare" turned up a lot of options for adapters, etc.

i have bought so many different connectors at plumbing stores and returned them that i don't want to buy anymore unless i'm 100% positive...i might try to buy this 5/8" IF fitting i found

i dont know where i got mine and what it is exacly but the shop where i ahd my downpipe made found it.. i can ask him tomorrow
