What airport is closest to the track? And is there a hotel nearby?

I'm considering flying out to lay some smack down with my rental car on these East Coast floosies.

I think Pittsburg is the closest big one and there is a Holiday Inn just down the street but I think it’s a bit on the pricy side. There are also some smaller motels near there but I don’t know the names of them

And bri, are you going to let that shiny supercharger go to waste? Get your ass out there, man!

Where's the rest of ya? Huh? Huh? Are ya yella? Let's go, boys and girls. Red hot focus-on-focus action here...

This is a pretty sweet track weekend.

I got to get all my registrations together, I’ll have 3 of 8 days on track that week hope I don’t brake anything

I have a damn good excuse for not entering... But I would be there.

Last time I looked at a callender, there was only 7 days in a week.

I'm going to have to play this one by ear. I won't know if I can make it 'till the event gets much closer.

Fly in to Pittsburgh International.
Take RT 60 north from airport
Go east on RT 351 (I think first exit after crossing US 76/ PA Turnpike)
It's about 5 miles to RT 18
Holiday Inn is just south(right turn) from intersection of 351-18
Track is 1 mile north(left turn) from intersection.

Its Official! The first ever "East Coast" Focus Challenge will be taking place the weekend of May 21-22 at BeaveRun Motorsports Complex (Wampum, PA).

Pricing has yet to be determined for the weekend, but we do expect the per day cost to be near $160 (inlcludes rental of an AMB timing transponder). Registration for this event will be opening in the next couple of weeks.

Ok maybe it is just me but when I click the link for www.focuschallenge.com I am led to a page with a "registration" link. When I click the registration link I am at the redline track events page. Now on this page I can clearly read, " For Focus Challenge participants; do not sign up here. Click the link above to sign up for the Focus Challenge." Now this link takes me back to the Focus Challenge page.

So where do I sign up for this event?

well... I signed up at one of the places where it said sign up... probably the wrong one, but it was somewhat confusing... and the check is taped to the calendar - just need to send it.

Hoping to see more than just a couple foci there if i make the trek there from DC.

Us west Coasters are really hoping you guy make a nice show...I know the original guys here did a great job!!

But what would you expect from the west coast...a good show

In order to sign up. you must login, then click on events and sign up through there.

When you click login you can register on the username prompt if need be.

How do I do second driver for the Focus challenge? My co-driver will also drive an M3 but obvously not in the challenge.

I understand that. The two of us want to compete using one SVTF. For the non competition sessions we will be driving a SVTF and a M3.

I was checking the e-mails and the last I heard it was fine. I believe the only stipulation is that both driver's need to pay the small entry fee for the challenge.
