We tested a DIS car and standard distrubitor/coil car.

EDIT: Wonder if we could get nology to send us a set if the COP stuff to test on a Duratec...
no one has said it isn't useful on a DIS or a standard distrbutor car. the wires there lead FROM the coil TO the spark plug, so there's room for improvement.

in a COP system the wires don't travel from teh coil to the spark, so they're not even doing the same thing. on a COP car, the NOlogy crap aren't even 'spark plug wires'

that's what they're trying to say.

hahaha...Dwell... double entandre much, Walter?

The Focus is an odd beast, with it's very good stock ignition and all. Hondas are a whole different animal. Grounding kits alone can pick them up a few stray HP.
Actually, there is room for improvement even on the COP Duratec. The Zetec ignition system, while good can use even more help. The thing is, companies like MSD make a living selling ignition systems because they are generally of benefit, and while it's needed on some cars, it's not on others. I would certainly up the ignition capabilities on a Duratec with forced induction, but it really isn't necessary with a naturally aspirated or nitrous fed combination. '99+ Mustangs use COP, and past 8-10psi, they respond well to upgraded ignitions, sometimes relying on them to be able to make power. They also use the very same coils found on '97+ trucks and our Duratecs.
