There has been a few posts about the 00 intake manifold, and I was curious as to how hard of an install it is? could some one give me an idea of involvement in the procedure along with a time estimate. thanks alot everyone.

it's not that bad except that you might have to remove the alternator...

I had to take him off the bracket to get the old intake out, but the install is pretty straight forward...

you'll need some swivels and all your proper extensions, etc... to get to some of the bolts...

so with decent mechanical skills it shouldn't be too hard for me to do by myself? anybody else? thanks

You don't have to take the altinator out, you have to remove the stud at the atlinator with the manifold and it will save a lot of time. Be sure you have the torks sockets and drivers. It will take more time to disconect all of the sensors then to unbolt the old manifold and bolt in the new one. Be careful with the fuel rail and injectors. Other then that it should be pretty easy. I did Zona Kona's a couple of weeks ago in about 1hr.

haha ok, so with my big hands it'll take a littel longer to get everything all worked out. cool thanks guys.
one more question.I assume that porting the manifold is pretty straight forward as well. (?) I saw the SCC write up about port the intake, and assume thats about all there is to it. Am I correct on this?
