What is it? I've been having problems with my throttle sticking sometimes and my idle and drivability has always been subpar since I've owned the car. I think I may have found part of the answer. The rubber hose that connects into the intake manifold directly under the throttle body is not only kinked like a mofo but also has a 1 inch hole in it. If I'm correct it leads to the PCV valve in front of the engine. Nasty little vacuum leak. So I'm going to try and replace it with some universal hose tomorrow if possible. Only thing that sucks is after almost 3 years of owning the car I never caught it.

there are about 4 hoses connected to the Intake manifold. which one.

Sorry. I saw 3 things that plug in RIGHT under the Throttle Body and then one hose that is bigger than the rest that plugs into manifold under the rest. Any lower and their is nothing else. It is the hose that runs to the PCV valve. It is made of rubber near the PCV valve and intake manifold and plastic right under the Coil. Hope I'm not confusing. I think I've answered my own question as to what it is. Now I just have to replace a section of rubber hose. I wonder how the hell it ripped and kinked so bad.

well, its either the PCV or the brake booster.

I thought the lowest hose on the mani was the brake booster.

Oh man I don't know.

I'll get you a picture tomorrow. To me it looks like it goes all the way to the PCV valve up front. What would happen if the hose for the Brake Booster was kinked and ripped? Wouldn't the pedal pressure be super high? Or would it be low?

Well I replaced the kinked/ripped rubber hose that runs from the PCV Valve to the intake manifold. NOTHING. So I played with it and found out that when I disconnect the EGR hose the car runs a lot better. Any idea what this means? My DPFE sensor is brand new and my EGR pipe should be fairly new.
