Heres the deal ya'll...I haven't been able to come to a clear conclusion so I'll just tell it like it is, WARNING THIS MAY BE LONG.
Earlier this summer, in July I believe, there was a For Sale ad for a T3 Super 60 turbo kit for round about $3500 including everything. Supposedly he was putting his car back to stock to sell, because he just ahad a baby. So over the next week or so we're squaring away a possible deal since I was to be coming home soon, and he said he'd even help me install while I was home. Then the week before I plan to come home, I don't hear anything from him...I come to CT and leave, chalked up the deal as a loss.
Then in early August(I can get the real timeline if anyone is really interested, gotta love Gmail) he emails me and like 4 other people (whome I just emailed to ask about what they thought of him) saying that he's sorry for the near month delay and that the kit is still for sale. Meanwhile I guess he sorta had peope place bids on it, which he said he wasn't disclosing...that was August 1st....then from the first on I didn't hear from him until Sept 13th!
Supposedly at this point is son had been hospitalized, and now he's trying to get rid of the kit all together to help pay for the hospital bills. This time the email was sent directly to me, now dropping he price to $2000. Keep in mind I;ve seen pictures of the kit throughout the summer that have a timestamp of February and August of this year, so I clearly think everything is cool). I tell him I'm still interested, and he drops to $1600 shipped (yeah I was a bit skeptical but hes a CT Jetter and he seemed rather desperate for the cash) so I offered $1750 shipped. He said he throw in a few more things for that price and as soon as he recieved my money he'd ship everything out, which at this point he said he already had in boxes (Sept 27th). Come the beginning of this month we finalize everything and I send the money as agreed on Saturday Oct 1st, Prioity mail to his Spring Road, North Haven address, it arrived Tuesday the 4th. He did not contact me until the 8th, saying that he hadn't gotten the mail until Thursday of that week. But all was well and he was headed to te UPS store to ship everything.
Now this is where things get kinda wierd. Come the beginning of this month we finalize everything and I send the money as agreed on Saturday. He sends 3 emails on the 8th, one oafter another. One tells me about him not picking up the mail, the next gives me his office phone number a 203-868-XXXX number, and the next doesn’t have any text in the body of the email and the title just says “call from UPS when I ship it”…and that was the last I’ve heard from a Christopher Spencer.
Now…after a few days I decided to call the number, it rings and rings. I try again same things. That happens all the way until yesterday. I called and someone finally picked up, “hello”… “Hi, this is Collin Chappelle” … CLICK!! So I think maybe his phone cut off, so I call back. “The NEXTEL subscriber you are trying to locate is not available”. So I take my phone with me to class and I think I probably called that number 10-12 times that night, and about 7-8 times someone would pick up and say hello, I’d get a few words out and then “Call Ended”. So I can’t tell if someone is messing with me, if I have the wrong number or what…I’m kinda on edge, because I was taken in an EBay con for my Canon 10D, luckily the USPS came through with my insurance check 8mo later, so naturally I’d be UBER-PISSED if I was taken again and by a Jetter of all people. So that’s the deal…ALL facts.
