I have had 2 fuses now blow (takes a few months) for the door locks. Unfortunately this fuse is buried somewhere other than the simple to get at fuse box. Can some tell me where so I can repair this myself? Yes I realize the problem might be greater than a simple fuse but I need to replace it first.
Thanks

Bruce

there are only two factory locations for fuses one is under the dashbord on the drivers side the other is in the engine compartment drivers side between the cowl and the air filter box. the fuse you are looking for is most likely in the one under the dashbord. check your owners manual it will be able to tell you exact locations. also many alarm instllers like to put the "brain box" for the alarm between the opening in the dashbord and the fuse pannel. so it may not be clear where the fuses are.

good luck

This fuse, for whatever reason, is in a special location all by itself. Dealer repair takes almost an hour. I have no idea why Ford put a single fuse so well hidden but the main inside fuse box has to be removed among other things to get to it.

I am hoping someone has a detailed description of all that needs to be done. Unfortunately I now live where there are no repair people and have to do it myself.
