I currently own a zx3 that needs new shocks and struts really bad. Always wanted a lower look, so Im thinking of getting new SVT shocks and struts, and then buying new svt springs. I have a buddy who can put them on, but just wondered if they hooked up the same, and if anyone knows what the jump in price for the dampers are, and a place to get svt springs. Any help would be great.

Yes, NcNews is a FocalJet sponsor with a good reputation.

I also highly recommend Tony @ New Edge Performance... great guy.

I've personally had good luck with many of our sponsors.

I think that for a stock zx3 my car sits very low. Lower than most I have seen. I am wondering if anyone else thought about this, and then put the svt springs on and it had the same ride height? Is there a chance this could happen, or do I just have a ton of [censored] in my car. I am looking for the performance upgrade, but at the same time, looking to make the car sit a bit lower. Didnt want to go with the sportlines because of all the extra stuff I would need. What do you guys think?

if you go anything other than svt springs you need to go with different dampers as well. SVT is the best bang for the buck option there is
I had apex 1.5s and kyb AGX adjustables was under 500 including alignment and the handling/ look was amazing. and that was on stock tires.
the svt kit will maintain good ride quality as well so that is something to consider

just buying the dampers is not cost-effective if you go with SVT stuff.

i bought a set of used SVT springs, and then looked for new SVT dampers from ford -- they total up to the same cost as buying the whole SVT suspension kit from steve @ tousley ford (focaljet username: FORDSVTPARTS).

i eventually found the dampers used too, but if i'd known how cheap it was to get the SVT kit new, i would have just gotten that and had all new components.

i'm in the process of installing it all right now, so i can't comment on the difference yet.

The SVT kit is great I switched my FK kit with a buddy in town that had and SVT. The car feels great rides smoother and feels very well balanced. Of course it sits a little higher than the FK but it is lower than the stock and has less roll than stock.

I think it is great for a car that is going to have a lot of miles put on it and still want to get into turns. I have 126,000 miles on my 01 and wish I would have done this earlier.
