Not sure if this is old news... just got to the newsstand and it looks like cosworth (d-power?) got to do some headwork on the SVT's 2.0! We'll have to see if it moved out of the corner of Randy's lot (@ focus sport).

FYI.

Car still in corner of lot, engine inside in the secret lab area being worked over.

The head is a FS head, they worked with Cosworth to get some of the fine detail machining done that the FS crew don't have tools for in house.

I had the oportunity to look over the std. zetec head, absolute work of art.

You couldn't ask for a better colaberation than cosworth/focussport.

thanks for the inside update.

couldn't agree more. I anxiously await the details!

Details are in the current issue of SCC, just look inside! Apparently, the head that was built for that project car is basically (exactly?) the one that FS will be selling alongside their other new head now that they (and Cosworth) are happy with it. Talking to the guy from Cosworth at the dyno day today (as he was walking us through the article in SCC), flow numbers in terms of volume and velocity are outstanding for both of the new FS heads.

I picked up this issue last night after seeing this post. The article on the port, polish, and valve job on the SVT head is well written and provides plenty of details. There's also an article about a Cosworth Focus that looks beautiful and also will "go all 10 rounds with the imports."

Nice Focus stuff in the issue!

Gods: please hear the Cries of SVT owners far and wide, grant us with Shafts of Cam!
Now that's some funny stuff. I also thought that was a well written article - not just for focus guys - but for anybody interested in what precision head work is all about. I hope readers of other cars didn't just skip over it b/c it's a focus.

Yeah, I hope people read it more than I read any of their Civic columns.
