HHHMMM I have the RS rear wagon bumper but it does line up with the stock ST170 wagon rear fender????
Plz.. dont tell me I have cut the rear fender flares off a a STD. euro RS to make this work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone know who , what or where I can get rear panels or just the flare here in the states.
I all ready have the rear rebar, crash foam, and the RS wagon rear bumper with light kit. Everything I have is ford parts so I know the part are right... they just don't line up right.... I'm I missing something here >??>?>?>?>?>

there is no such thing as a Ford Focus WAGON RS. They made the RS only in hatch unless its froma body kit or something. If it is then F2 may make the wide fender adapter for it. RS is a wider fender so the bumpers are going to be wider to comp for the wider wheel well ect.

I'm guessing he is from overseas since he says he has an ST170, which is a hatch. Yes you are going to have to get the rear quarter panels from the RS to match up with the front and rear bumpers.

Ya there were some made..... Well the parts were made I'm not sure if ford ever lunch the the car or not. I got these parts from my brother on his last trip to loundon. He works for ford and was one of the people that retooled the cars euro fixtures for the U.S. production plants. there all factory parts that he brought back for me....
LOL I get a lot of test fixture parts..... LOL half of the stuff you can't use due to d.o.t or other restictions.

Plz. note that the front went just fine..... No problems with the front fenders on the stock 170W to the RS.....

ok The wagon I have was shiped to the US for fixture production in Ohio.
I pick the car up last year when ford didn't update the US models to the euro models. They didn't need the car anymore for tooling changes. The car was never titled here and was sold to me though ford's Z plan so I picked it up very cheap.
it reads in the door ST170 LRS wagon....
Don't know what the LRS is.......
I hope this helps

It would help alot if you modify your profile to display your location. Its ok, no one will steal your information, its a very useful tool. As for your car, I'm still lost as to whats going on.:dunno:

ok I have a ST170 Wagon..... I just got the RS rear wagon bumper, rebar and crash foam... but the side off the bumper doesn't line up with my fender where the fender flare is. it starts to go out off line about 20 CM's before the wheel hub.

Does this mean I have to cut the flares off an RS to make these parts fit right.
Next................. if the RS Wagon rear bumper that I have doesn't work then there must be a lower rear Q-panel made for this part. Or the part that I have wouldn't have been made to fit the ST170 .. Right ??????? I had no problems with the front RS bumper to St170 front fenders... SO why in the rear?????
I hope this helps you understand the problem I'm having with this .
Any help you can give me Silfox would help.

I think the problem everyone is having with your situation is that we have never heard of either an ST170 wagon, or an RS wagon. So it is difficult for us to comprehend. Any pictures of the car before the work was begun on it? Also, just for clarification (and since some folks like to blow up about it) is it the collection kit you are working with, or the true RS bits? I'm guessing it was the collection kit since technically, the true RS front would no way in hell fit the standard fenders that the ST170 would have. Pictures would definitely help in this situation.

Sorry I don't Know :(
I was told that the front bumper was an 2002 model year RS with head lamp washer holes. the only thing I see not like the RS bumpers I have seen is the turn single lens. There not there on mine. there in the Head lamp I didn't change the front rebar or crash foam.
I don't know if the parts were just fixture test peices from loundon... I just don't know.
But they fit with no mods to the front of the car.
I'm hoping this parts well not be in the ( I can't use this stuff pile ) that been getting larger in my garge....LOL
Its ok guys I well get it.....
Its a lot like everything esle on this car..... left over parts from what ever they were working on at the time.
I well have to find out who made the parts for ford to see what is going on.
thanks....................................

they did have a ST170 wagon, however, no RS wagon. I believe you have teh RS hatch rear bumper, which is why it won't fit on your wagon.
the front will line up perfectly, because the front is teh same for all focus'--wagon, sedan or hatch. However, the RS is a widebody, the ST170 is not, so I'm wondering how you got hte RS front bumper to fit if it's not the R/S front bumper.
some pics are DEFINATLY gonna clear some things up

I think he has the 2002 collection front bumper and a collection rear for the hatch that he is trying to fit to a wagon, if you look on that euro site sasha lists a 2002 and a 1998 collection front bumper, one with turns and one without. as for which rear bumper I know they built a five door RS(test mule) but I did not know they built a wagon(or test wagon), anyone google a picture of it yet?

the reason the RS bumper wont fit on your wagon. From what i understand, your bumper you are trying to fit is too short to match the fender lines. Yes, ford sells the rear 1/4 panels from the RS, but the RS hatch has a shorter rear end, the departure angle on the RS is much larger than the departure on the wagon. Thats how they get the added storage room is by lengthening the car behind the rear wheels. So, from this, i'd say unless you dish out the dough to have someone professionally modify your RS rear bumper to lengthen the sides and match them to the RS rear 1/4 panels. Hope this answers some o fyour questions.

The US cars were not tooled in the UK but in the GERMAN Saarlouis plant. 2 cars were tooled there to make sure that the tooling equipment could be used that was already on hand. It does not make sense to make a LHD car in a RHD plant. As for your RS rear bumper delima, no the RS rear cannot be fitted to your car without heavy modification. I would also lime to know what the VIN # to you car is as I am sure it is not a ST170 Wagon as you say it is. Expecially from the UK as the ST170 ESTATE was sold as a RHD only.

Wait if he really has a ST170 in the US that ha bought, wouldn’t this mean that ford certified that E-spec foci are significantly similar to US spec models, and mean that anyone could just import them?! If a company officially certifies that an E-spec focus is essentially identical to US spec foci in concern to regulations, you do not have to crash test them to import them.
