Pretty soon I will be installing the BAT roof rack on my ZX3. The car has never had this rack on it before so the holes in the back need to be cleaned up for installation.
What do you guys recommend to clean up these these two holes/threads?

There are holes already predrilled into the back of the spoiler area. They are puttied over and painted. There are also holes in the door jams under the weatherstripping.

I put one on last summer...
The holes are there already (on my ZX3 at least). The front holes are at the top of the door opening under the weather strip- you can pull back the rubber a little and there are 2 screws. The front screws are replaced with ones in the kit. The back holes are under the hatch at the upper corners near the taillights. The back ones are filled with some caulk stuff and kind of looks like a spot weld. If you poke around a little you will find the soft spot. To clean it out I used an awl and a pick then threaded the screw in a few times to really get it clean. Good luck and enjoy the rack... the only negative I have is that it is kinda noisy with my moon roof slid open.

What I did when I installed mine was use a drill bit that was like 2 sizes to small. I had a small pick/scratch-all and got most of the rest of the sealer out. Next I took one of the bolts and used my dremel tool to cut a slot into it to make it look like a self tapping screw. Ran that throught a few times to make sure it was clean. Your good to go.

Oh and if you need some help let me know, it's about time to make a trip over that way anyways.

Well the first thing I need help with is finding a few key parts lost during shipping! You know those little rectangular gold fasteners that go inside the rails to bolt them down?
