All this fuss over manifolds. :rolleyes:

I'm using the stock Zetec exhaust manifold with my turbo kit. :evilgrin:

Ok, but seriously now, for those who want a more "conventional" turbo setup, there are several choices.

1.) Roush turbo kit manifold - but is it available separately from the kit?
2.) Precision tubular manifold - looks awesome, but requires a very low turbo location, and like the Roush manifold, it may not be available a la carte.
3.) OEM Focus RS manifold - if I were building a DIY kit, this would probably be my first choice.
4.) Aftermarket Focus RS manifold from the "forbidden site" - as I recall, it looked very nice, and I think it was actually a cast tubular design.

I think it would be nice to have some reasonably-priced domestic cast manifolds on the market. Even though they will be of no use to me. :)

^ I agree that that looks great, but will it fit on a Focus? Wasn't that particular manifold being used on a Caterham or something, with the engine mounted longitudinally? IIRC they had tons more room to work with than we do. :(

It looks like it will fit to me, The manifold is quite close to the block, there shouldn't be any clearence issues unless you go with a bigger turbo.....

Ray... there are major companies that won't deal with you and your shop... why is that? Is it because in aligning yourself with Tom you've irreparably damaged your reputation?
