I have the rear camber bolts in on my car and have it dropped with an Eibach pro spring/Spax Dampner combination. (1.5" drop)

I also have Eibach sways and ES Bushings throughout.

The camber in the rear still looks off!

If I wanted to adjust it myself in say.....the driveway, how would I go about doing this? Also, I am getting ready to swap out the Eibach Springs for SVT Springs. Should I bother with the rear camber then or just say screw it and get it re-alligned?

Thanks a ton.

I agree w/ MichaelXi; no matter how good an "eye" one thinks one has, there are optical illusions and divergent/convergent lines from distance and perspective to deal with when "eyeballing" an alignment. (I am obviously not educated in proper geometry terminology, but you get the idea)

Though camber is a bit more straightforward, the factory adjustment for the rear is primarily for toe and the addition of camber bolts in the top of the rear uprights can simplify of complicate the issue, depending...

If you raise the ride height with the switch from Eibach to SVT springs, there should be a slight reduction in both camber and toe in the rear. Have the car's alignment checked after the spring swap if the swap is something you'll be doing soon. Otherwise, have it checked now to save your tires from premature wear.

Two shops have aligned it and it still looks out. I won't worry about it till I get it aligned after the SVT Spring swap out. It will be near stock then and I shouldn't have a problem getting it aligned properly.

Thanks

what do the printouts that they give you after the alignments say it is set at?

your alignment "looking" off doesn't mean anything. As long as it's aligned and you're not experiencing any strange tire wear, there is no problem.

I have to look for the sheet but I am having a minor tire wear issue in the rear on the inside, meaning the camber is F-ed up. These are new tires too. I may just be perinoid though. I often get this way with the car.

I will have SVT Springs on it in a few weeks, I pick them up on Sunday!

Remember, the rear tires are not only running with neg camber, but some toe-in as well and the toe will eat tires too.

Rear camber and toe should be within factory spec to minimize tire wear.

Of course, the range of factory spec is a mile wide, but somewhere in the middle is usually good.

a friend of mine runs 1.5 camber on all tires and .125 toe on front tires on his subaru RS.... pretty aggressive alignment, but then again his car handles like a slot car, so
