MINI's take 1st and 2nd in STX............ guess who took 1st!! (While sporting the Jet logo!)

I'm still in freakin shock! I just went to benchmark myself and see how i would do against "national" level competition. But i had never thought in my wildest dreams i could win! My best hope was to eek out 3rd so i could grab some contingency money. Well i won and got alot of contingency money!

Thank you MINIUSA.com! My paper work for my $500 will be going out tomorrow!

Meanwhile there is some controversy about the course on Day 2, they may actually even be throwing out the day 2 results due to the course being "techically" too fast. Tough question..... STS which the SVT Focus would have been in is a much more highly fought class with a ringer called the 89 Civic Si. Plus i think the SVT Focus would have had to be much more prepped to the rules.

In STS, a well driven, max-prepped Focus--any type--cannot beat an equally well driven, max prepped SpecCivic. I think a Focus could sneak into a low trophy position at nationals, perhaps...but never 'seriously' contend.

That said, Nice job on winning STX--I am looking forward to HS in my 05 MINI this season.

So far the first $200 or so is going to get me a Schlroth(sp?) quick fit harness. I'm still trying to decide what to do with the rest of the $250 or so.
