Please pardon the grainy-ness. I work 7-7, so the only light I had was the 6am sunrise!

The truck needs some body work, as you can see a bit there on the bumper in the front, and the rear needs a little levelling. So, I'm ordering a new bumper, chrome step rails (the left one is half broken off from some offroading)... toying with the idea of diamond plate on the bed siderails. Definitely needs a chip. It's sporting TOYO 285/75R16 Open Country A/T on stock rims. When I really feel like hemhorraging money and the body style gets looking dated in a couple years I plan on lifting it, but that would bean a new trailer and a whole nother slew of problems so for now it stays. This truck's going to get run into the dirt unless I win the lotto.

I just got the Fusion 3 days ago. It has all the available factory options (SEL, safety & security, moonroof, leather, heated seats, audiophile, etc...) I had planned on dumping some money into it in all sorts of avenues, but I'm really not liking the auto transmission at the moment. Maybe I'll get used to it (I HOPE  ), or maybe it will just be my commuter car until something flashier catches my eye.

Awesome Fusion :) But yes, it's really quite gay that the V6 is only available with the 6-speed auto :thumbdown

yes the auto is lame :( I love the body style though and knew I wanted one, and didn't think an I-4 would live up to my standards after driving the 'Stroker. I'm loving tiresmoker's black sedan pictures though... that Focus is awesome. I was never keen on the stock Focus look, but with those mods... WOW.

LMAO I agree there it's the same unlogical thinking that made the chrysler crossfire available only in automatic.

Anyways as much as your working no wonder your driving cars like that.

Whats the deal with the Tranny? I wish the V6 came with a stick..I would have gotten one instead of a Mustang...maybe not ;)

It tends to hunt too much for gears if you drive it aggressively. It's the smoothest ride if you just accelerate to highway speeds and lock in the cruise control, even up inclines it doesn't throw itself forward with a late downshift... but I'm finding when it chooses to shift a little annoying.

Like when I want to pass someone quickly it takes a pause for the transmission to respond and downshift. Slightly annoying, but OK... then, because you have so much throttle input to get the car to downshift it accelerates VERY rapidly (GOOD!) but when you try to edge off the throttle a liiiitle bit it almost immediately upshifts again (BAD!) and if you're passing on a hill with traffic ahead of you it might hunt between those 2 gears several times in a row. VERY annoying.

But like I said, the cruise control manages the car very well, smooth as glass, and you have massive acceleration when you need it. I've been driving my Stroker as my primary vehicle for about 2 years now so I'm used to the pressure and pedal play of that to get it to shift EXACTLY when I want it too (also an automatic, bummer) so I'm likely very lead footed and insensitive so maybe after I get used to it some more I will be able to better control the hunting.

The pause before downshifting also gets annoying when pulling away from a stop light. When I hit the gas I want acceleration NOW, not 2 seconds later. :thumbdown It does make up for it by leaving like a bat outta hell once it does decide to shift properly ;)

You will be better off spending your money on modifying the truck. A guy at work has an 03 f250 supercab 4X4 with the 6.0 and all he has done is a tuner and a turbo back exhaust. He ran a 13.90 in the 1/4 mile. With a 7,000 LB truck!!!

It will take a lot more money and time to try make the fusion do that. Plus it's a nice car you don't want to change that with mods.

Nice looking Fusion and F-250.

Kind of hard to see anything in those pics, but I see you have a fusion. I love the style of those cars but agree it sucks they dont come in stick, hence the reason I didnt want one.

Nice truck as well, buddy has one just like it. Peace!
the 2.3 L duratec ones do

and every quirk about his 6spd AUTO in his fusion i have with my fusion..... (err my dads fusion    )

It's actually getting better about the slow response pulling out from a stop. It felt downright nimble this weekend, much to my surprise!

pzev04boy--The 6.0 Powerstroke is an awesome vehicle. Folks are always amazed at the amount of acceleration it has for being such a beastly mass of metal. Unfortunately, driving it aggressively drops the fuel mileage to around 12mpg and with diesel prices what they are now, it's expensive to show off! Also, though it's pretty damned fast 0-60, and when you need a surge of speed for passing, the handling is terrible at high speeds so modifying it for speed is about as useful as teats on a bull.

It may be adapting to your driving style maybe?!? Nice car and truck by the way!
