Before I got the Focus I own right now, I first went to another Ford dealer and saw this cool ZX3 there. It was InfraRed and had this huge targa-top like sunroof. Anyways, the guy asks us how much we are looking to spend. And I was like "well, I can afford around $250/month" so the guy is like, "well, let me go talk to my sales manager and see what we can do." He comes back about 5 minutes later and is says "well, you know what, we can sell you that car for $254/month" and my dad who was with me says "over how many months?" to which the sales guy is says "72." My dad quickly does the math in his head and says to him "thats around $18,000 for the Focus w/ a sticker price of $13,000. Do you think we are retarded?" And then my dad told me we were leaving and we never came back, lol. The look on the guy's face was priceless.

right after i got my 02 zx3 new, i went for a road trip

came back, rear tires were feathered and worn. i had some service (free oil changes, etc) so i asked the dealership to just change the oil (until 9k when i switched to amsoil)

anyway i ask them to look at the rear wheels because i have irregular wear...

i ask the service lady what was wrong she said "peeling out."

i'm like :what: ?!

"Uhmm... the car is front wheel drive" I tell her.

"No. It's all wheel drive!" her reply.

"SWEET! I GOT A SPECIAL MODEL!!! ... can i talk to your service manager?"

got two new tires - as well as wheel bearings under warranty.

I saved up 7k thousand dollars and started hunting around for a car to buy for my wife. All cash, no payments. I found a 99 Dodge Stratus at a Ford dealer in Kerville for 3200. Kerville is about 60 miles from me. I drove out there and test drove this Stratus. It drove really nicely, didnt make any odd noises and everything but the factory radio worked. I noticed when I was looking at it that it had a paper in the window that said it had a warrenty for 20k miles on it with a 500$ deductable and covered like 50% of the cost. I dont remember exactly.

Anyways, I drove all the way back to San Antonio to get my wife and the cash. When we get back to the dealer, I filled out all the sale forms and then when it gets to the part about the warrenty it says as is no warrenty. I asked the guy, "I thought this had a tag in the window that said it had a warrenty." He said no it never did. I looked at the window paper in my sales form stack and sure enough it said as is no warrenty. :what:

I told the guy that this was NOT thte tag in the window. He assured me it was. So I asked him, "This is the tag FROM THE WINDOW of the stratus Im buying?" Yes of course it is he said.

"So you physically took this out of the window of the car?"
"yes, what are you getting at?"
"Sir, the protective strip over the adhesive is still on it. How could it have been stuck to the window."

........................................................................... UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..............................................................................................................

"Would you like a free service for it?"

I told him I didnt care about the warrenty at all and there was no chance Id ever drive to kerville to have anything fixed. The warrenty debacle wasnt a deal breaker but I wanted them to know they didnt fool me.

And one that I fell for.

First time I bought a car at a dealership other than a junker project car, they charged me $250 to have the VIN etched in the windows. It was actually printed on their boilerplate contract. I hadn't looked for it when I was test driving the car - and I never did find where they had supposedly etched the VIN. I don't believe they ever did that. Still, I got a decent enough out the door price that I didn't really care.

When my dad was shopping for his BMW he knew what he wanted....the 4cyl...

We went and checked out a few used BMW's at the dealership here...

Asked about if they had any with the 4 cyl

"BMW doesn't make a 4cyl"

"Oh, ok....thanks anyways"

We left pretty quick.

Mine took place when I was looking for my S4. I was looking used and had some pretty particular criteria, 2001.5+ B5 Sport with less than 30k etc. I picked a bunch out at auction that they were going to buy and let me look at. S4's are incredibly rare and dealers can sell them when they get them so they said they didn't mind. I call the monday after the auction and the guy says yeah we got them they are on the truck. Friday I call back- The truck had issues they are still in NJ. The next monday- yeah they should be here this week. COMPLETE BS. They never got the cars and were just trying to keep me hooked while they tried to find one they could buy. I wrote a letter to Audi NA about it and got free floormats.

this was at DOVER AUDI in NH. Never seen a more corrupt sales crew in my life. THey even let me test drive a sold 2005 S4... I don't know about you but if I already bought a car for 52k iwouldn't want some clown tooling around in it.

I went to Ted Russell Ford here in Knoxville, TN and was inquiring about the new 2005 Ford Focus ST that the website said they had 3 of.

I asked to see one of the STs and he was like "we dont have any of those, we have an SVT over there which is what you are thinking about ." I was like no, this is a new model that has a 2.3 duratec and he was like, no way that is not made.

so we walk inside where I show him the 2005 Focus ST that is sitting there and he was like.......well damn.

What BMW is that, The Z3? Dont see many 4cyl Bimmers.

I find that I usually tell the saleperson about the car and usually how much I don't like car salesman.I like to make it very clear that I'm not gonna be buddy buddy with them I just want to deal. When I bought my grand prix the salesman tried to hug me after I bought the car I laughed and took the keys out of his hand and left some rather long marks in the parking lot...it took me 2 weeks to get the price down so I considered leaving them some rubber a bit of a rebate for them.

A dealer I talked to about Tradeing my car in said my 03 Focus SPI w/ 50k miles was worth $2400 Its not in immaculate condition but its in good shape. I checked up kbb.com and n good condition its worth approx. $6500. After that he told me its only worth 2400 but he would give me 65oo for it. kinda fishy so I left he calls me every week , even bothers me at work
The reason he would have given yuo 6500 is because after the ACTUAL 2400 he would ahve given you fr the trade would have been rolled into the loan. ALWAYS read the entire sales agreement, they WILL screw ya.

people like you, are the reason people like me, are violant, and hate people like you..

JACKASS
I do what I have to do for my company. And if posing as a customer to gain knowledge is what I have to do, then I'll do it.

Next, you give the impression that you are a salesman.....well kiddo, it's not people like me that cause you to be violent and hate people......it's your job.

I couldn't go home and look in in the mirror everyday after ripping good, honest people of their hard earned cash.

BTW....I work for a dealership and guess what, every dealership gets inspected by their competitors all the time. It's not a new fact.

Sorry to hear that you are a hateful violent person......maybe you should quit your job and get a job in the dog grooming industry. It's not as cut throat and you may actually make some money. Besides, who doesn't like playing with little puppies.

dave.
