Has anyone used these. They look like a good spring and have a pretty attractive price of 150. It's a 2f 2r drop with a 280f and 230r spring rate. Sounds like a nice comprimise between like a h&r race and a eibach. I found these on optionsimport.com. Thanks for any info.

That spring rate is backward. The car won't handle very well with a higher front rate than rear. It's a pity, because if it had 230f and 280r spring rates, it would be pretty nice. :(

That was my thought also, mad understeer. Maybe dial it out with a stock front bar and a 25mm rear?? I'm just looking at those rates thinking they are pretty sweet for a great handling car that's still not to rough for the street.

Is it possible you have or the site has the spring rates backwards?

I can't imagine someone would make springs for the focus that way.

I don't know they look quality and the site I found them on carries all high end stuff... check em out optionimports.com they are interesting that's for sure, oh and this site has damn good deals on ANY other suspension for our cars. Some of the best I've been able to come across at least.

"Megan Racing Performance Lowering Springs are constructed of SAE 9254 Cold Wounded Steel, one of the strongest materials available. The high tensile strength and phosphate powder coating delivers outstanding spring rates that are extremely durable and resist premature “sagging”."

That's what they had to say about them and I'm am a little slow today and posted those rates backwards 280f 230r. So any opinions??

i had no idea powder coat affected spring rate

i'd look into something trusted dude. you definetally get what you pay for.

The focus is a rather niche market so we have a ton of very high quality stuff w/o a lot of fluff like the honda market has.

so when you find parts like these...its some of the fluff. just look into some reputable.

You get what you pay for? Megan is just an off brand, probably a universal spring with no real testing.

dont knock it until you try it

i have full megan coilovers on my WRX and couoldnt love them more...in face they are the MOST POPULAR coilover setup by far for WRX and STI guys alike

their exhausts systems are great too

i couldnt be happier with my megan racing suspension and it comes with a warrenty :) their stuff is cheaper becase they copy the best stuff with GOOD MATERIALS they dont spend $$ on research and development

I think Megan is yet another example of how a good company for imports can turn out total crap for domestics. :(

Megan is almost the same as OBX, they take high quality stuff and copy them with the same or in some cases better quality. My friend has a Megan racing header on his eclipse, its a copy of the greddy header, and it looks like the same welds as my obx 4-2-1.

I am running megan racing springs on my car right now, and have been for over 2 years now. I have not too many complaints with these, except for harsher ride. That being said, most springs that lower the car 2" will have a harsher ride. If you buy these springs, look into a good set of dampers within 10,000 miles. I ran my stockers in there for about 20,000... and only one of them were pretty shot when I removed them. I have the SVT shocks/struts with the megan racing springs and an SVT rear sway bar, and I'm quite happy for the moment.

And I'll second the good input for the Megan Racing exhausts... I have the axle-back exhaust for my wife's Sentra.

Thanks for the comments, I think I might give them a shot w/ some koni's, the specs read good and if they suck I'm out $150 bucks and a life lesson learned. If they're good it just adds a nice mid ground option for everyone looking for something stiffer than a H&R sport, but not as wild as a race. So what the hell guess I'll order em.

you definitely need better dampers for thos springs they are way to stiff and too low for the svt dampers to handle them correctly. but i guess if you arent tracking it will be "ok"

QFT you could just spend the extra 50 bucks and get the Hr race springs which are tried and true

Putting these springs on Konis is like buying new Mashimoto tires for your BBS wheels. :(

Well I've been checking these out a bit, talking to some 240sx and wrx guys, and it's nothing but rave reviews, both for coilover and springs. Too bad they don't make coilovers for us, 32 way adj for less than 1000., and the springs on their site are 109.00, 140.00 with shipping. So give me a few weeks and I'll let everyone know how this expirement goes.
