I have a Regular Zetec with no forced induction but I have a full SVT exhaust system with the headers and High Flow cat and a Magnaflow system with their resonator on it. I was looking at getting a Off Road Pipe for my car and wanted to know what it would do with the sound of my car. It already sounds really good. Would the Off road pipe give me a louder sound of the same pitch or would it make it lower or higher?

Also by geting a larger flex pipe (like a 3" from TruBendz) will that give me a deeper sound?

You don't want to mis-match your exhasut system, from the header back, keep it the same diameter.

As for removing the cat, it will make it louder and more raspy.

Not sure on your state, but, it may be illegal to remove the cat.

If its a "United" state... its illegal to remove the cat. (get it?... United states... eh nevermind)

Removing the cat on any vehicle originally equipped with one is a violation of federal law.

But the last time I checked, the FBI wasn't pulling people over and crawling under cars.

Only if your state does emission testing will they ever find out.
Arizona doesnt.

OE with OE isn't "as" illegal, but you're not going to gain but a couple whp over a hi-flow cat... I say its not worth it, especially for the noise and smell

but 93 and higher octane smells soo good...especially race gas

it's 87 that stinks!

if you remove the cat its illigal but if u go to the junk yard and fined a nother cat u can cut it in half and put it around your test pipe and screww both sides together it looks lik you hav a cat so nobody should bother

May I ask what are the results from removing the cat to a lets say N/A 2.0l second stage tuned ...cams 2nd stage-head-sct-intake-tb etc...? As on the dyno... And if someone saw differences using a racing cat vs de-cat? Thnx

it will make it hella raspy, but isted of gettin the offroad pipe, just get a 18" resonator and u wil not have any raspyness, and the car wil sound a little bit deep
